You have survived every difficult day that once felt impossible.
Don’t underestimate the strength it took to become who you are today.

Healing is not weakness.
Rest is not failure.
Starting again is not falling behind.

You are growing, even on the days it doesn’t feel like it.

From required to achieved 💛

Today I officially reached 110 counselling hours in placement.. beyond the 100 needed for my course.
Grateful for every conversation, lesson, and moment of growth along the way.

And doing it on a beautiful 21° day ☀️🌞

1. You constantly shape yourself around other people’s expectations.

2. You say “yes” when you really want to say “no”.

3. You feel disconnected from yourself… but can’t explain why.

4. You struggle to recognise what you actually need.

5.You’ve spent so long surviving or pleasing others
that you forgot who you are underneath it all.

Living authentically isn’t about being perfect or “fully healed” 🤍

Sometimes it simply means slowly reconnecting with yourself…
your needs, your feelings, your voice, your truth.

And for many people, that can feel unfamiliar at first.

Which one resonated with you most? ✨

Not every difficult day needs a deep analysis. Sometimes your nervous system is asking for care.

From one Feeling Being to another ,
emotions aren’t meant to be hidden they’re meant to be felt, understood, and expressed.

You do not have to have it all together to deserve joy, rest, connection, or love.
You’re allowed to be playful while still healing.

creating space for all the messy, beautiful human emotions over here ✨

I use these grounding techniques with clients when anxiety, overwhelm, or racing thoughts make it hard to feel present.
Sometimes the nervous system needs gentle slowing before the mind can settle.

Save this for stressful moments. Or share with a friend 🤍

I started to understand something important this wasn’t about being a “bad parent.” It was about an unhealed nervous system doing what it learned to do protect, react, survive.

And parenting has a way of bringing all of that to the surface.

The turning point wasn’t becoming perfect. It was becoming aware.

Awareness meant I could finally pause and see what was actually happening beneath the reaction. It meant I could start to notice my triggers instead of just acting from them. It meant I could begin to choose differently, even if only by a small amount at first.

Healing while parenting isn’t linear. It doesn’t look neat or calm or consistent all the time.

But it does look like noticing. Like interrupting patterns. Like repairing after rupture. Like trying again.

If you see yourself in any of this, you’re not alone in it. And you’re not stuck in it either.

Last week in class, we explored the Blob Tree and Blob Counselling approach with one of the creators of the work herself. Receiving this knowledge first-hand was incredibly valuable and has already had a positive impact on my practice.

In my work with neurodivergent clients, I’ve found the Blob tools to be especially effective in helping individuals express emotions and experiences in a way that feels accessible and safe. Visual approaches like this can remove some of the pressure around verbal communication and create space for reflection, understanding, and connection.

What I value most is how inclusive and adaptable the approach is allowing each person to interpret and communicate feelings in their own way, without judgement or expectation.

I’m grateful to continue learning creative and compassionate ways to support the people I work with.
