We had an absolutely wonderful time welcoming everyone to our Aughnacloy House Nursing Home Open Day!

Thank you to all the families, friends, and members of the local community who came along and made the day so special. From music provided by Daniel and Electric Reels, to tasty treats and games, laughter, and meaningful conversations — the atmosphere was full of joy and togetherness. 🎵🎂🎨

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible staff for their hard work and positivity, and to our lovely residents, whose warmth and stories truly made the day unforgettable.

💜 Help us support the amazing Lottie! 💜

Lottie is the beloved granddaughter of our Rathmena House Deputy Manager, Kerri. On 14th June 2025, Lottie’s Aunt Kendall is taking on a sponsored skydive to raise vital funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

Lottie was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at just 17 days old. Since then, she has tackled every challenge with incredible strength and a smile that lights up the room. Behind that smile is a tough daily routine—treatments, physiotherapy, hospital stays, and multiple medications. She faces more in a single day than many of us do in a lifetime—and she does it all with a fiery spirit and unstoppable positivity.

We're hosting a special Dementia Awareness "Time for a Cuppa" afternoon, and we'd love to invite all family and friends to join us!

Enjoy a relaxing afternoon with tea, coffee, cakes and buns, while helping raise awareness and support for those affected by dementia.

Domestic Care Group was established by Paul and Lesley Megarity in 1993 and since then the organisation has diversified and developed into one of the leading Health and Social Care organisations in Northern Ireland. Our activities are regulated by the Regulation Quality and Improvement Authority.

We have a broad range of services, from provision of nursing and domiciliary care, provided under the name Optimum Care, practical support and meals services in people’s own homes delivered under the name Domestic Care, through to high quality nursing and residential care provided in comfortable, attractive, purpose built care homes by our sister company MD Healthcare.

High quality care is at the heart of what we do and through relentless pursuit of high standards, we aim to meet the needs of service users. We take pride in the achievements of our staff and work to develop their skills through ongoing professional development and use of apprenticeships and recognised vocational training. We continually seek new and innovative methods to help ensure that elderly, disabled and vulnerable people live their lives as fully as is possible, caring, because people matter.
