Its that time of year again where we get asked "Can I Take My CBD Oil Abroad with me?"โ๏ธ๐
Simply put: it depends on where you are going. The easiest way to find out is to contact your flight provider and the incoming customs department for your destination. Having said that, it definitely helps to be informed on CBD law ahead of time, especially given that not all staff may be aware of its legal designation.
As a rule of thumb the vast majority of Europe have similar laws with THC content as we do here in the UK, where 0.2% - 0.3% concentrations are generally considered legal with the exception of Albania, Andorra, and Belarus where the law is either very unclear, or CBD is regarded as illegal regardless of THC content.
We also don't recommend traveling to the countries listed below with CBD:
๐ฌ๐นGuatemala โ illegal
๐ฆ๐บNew Zealand โ Low-dose pharmacist only; higher-dose prescription
๐ฎ๐ฑIsrael โ THC 0.00%; very unclear status, may entail consequences
๐น๐ทTurkey โ THC 0.00%; very unclear status, may entail consequences
๐ช๐ฌEgypt โ THC 0.00%; very unclear status, may entail consequences
๐ญ๐ฐHong Kong โ THC 0.00% (no possibility to export it)
๐ฏ๐ตJapan โ THC 0.00%
๐ฐ๐ทSouth Korea โ only on medical order and under clinical conditions
๐ท๐บRussia โ cultivation is legal, CBD products are illegal
๐ฆ๐ชUnited Arab Emirates: only legal in topical form, illegal for consumption.
If you have any other questions about specific destinations, please feel free to get in touch and we can help advise.
