TG Eakin Limited is a medical device manufacturer, dedicated to the production of high-quality skin protection products for use in stoma and wound care. The company was formed in 1974 by Tom Eakin, a pharmacist in Dundonald, just outside Belfast. As a result of having a close family member with a urostomy and listening to the problems of ostomates visiting his pharmacy, he felt a strong desire to help improve their quality of life. Since then, the company has gone from strength to strength and now supplies ostomy and wound care products around the world. In 2007, TG Eakin Ltd acquired Pelican Healthcare, a leading UK supplier and manufacturer of specialist stoma and feminine health products. This has given TG Eakin Ltd the opportunity to expand our international product range with Pelican Pouches. Research & Development teams within the 2 companies have come together to ensure the production of innovative, quality products. Still a family owned and run business, TG Eakin Limited always ensures that patient needs are incorporated into our product design, providing comfort, protection and ease of use. The company now export our products to more than 30 countries and the range of products manufactured have increased. With 2010 marking the 30th birthday of the Eakin Cohesive® Seal being introduced to the UK market, there are now over 15 million Cohesive® Seals being sold worldwide on an annual basis. Quality is of the utmost importance at TG Eakin Limited and the company is registered as meeting the requirements of the ISO 13485:2003 standard. The staff take great pride in producing top-quality products, matched by high levels of quality and hygiene evident throughout the premises. This effort has resulted in TG Eakin Ltd being an award-winning company.
