🌍 World Su***de Prevention Day 2025 🌍

Today, on World Su***de Prevention Day, we are proud to share this powerful video of three incredible individuals who took on the Goggins Challenge β€” running 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours.

- πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ Richard Murphy
- πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ Scott Wilson
- πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ Gareth Bishop
- πŸŽ₯ Aaron Agnew

This wasn’t just about physical endurance. It was about shining a light on the struggles many face in silence. Each mile represents the weight of adversity, the darkness of despair, and the courage it takes to keep going when giving up feels easier.

By pushing themselves to the limit, they wanted to show that no matter how heavy life feels, it is possible to keep moving forward β€” one step, one mile, one day at a time.

Their journey reflects the reality of many who battle suicidal thoughts: the fight is exhausting, painful, and often unseen. But just as they supported each other through this grueling challenge, we too can support one another through the darkest moments.

πŸ’› Today we remember. We raise awareness. We choose life.
πŸ’› You are not alone. Help is out there. Hope is real.

πŸ’› World Su***de Prevention Day 2025 πŸ’›

Today, we remember those we have lost to su***de, and we stand in solidarity with everyone who has been affected.

Here in Northern Ireland, the figures for death by su***de remain deeply worrying β€” and they are not improving.

The Health Service and in particular Mental Health Services are at crisis point.
However we still feel that every single death by su***de is preventable, therefore so much more work is needed to raise awareness, break the stigma, and provide real support.

Almost everyone knows someone whose life has been touched by su***de. Today, I ask you to hold those people in your thoughts β€” and to remember that even the smallest act of kindness, compassion, or listening can make a difference. πŸ’›

If you are struggling, please reach out. You do not have to suffer in silence.

The lads are now over halfway through their running challenge, and a special thanks has to go to two people who’ve been a huge help with recovery.

Jonathan Busby, Buzz from LITEYEAR Sports Therapy has worked his magic on the treatment table, keeping the lads in top condition and ready to face the tougher miles ahead.

A big shoutout also to Sean Fegan from Ards Leisure Services. As Operations Manager at Blair Mayne Complex, Sean kindly arranged access to the spa and recovery rooms, which has been a massive boost for the team.

Thank you from Murph, Scotty, and SPORTS MHNI πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ πŸ’¨

As the lads try to get some sleep and rest in between runs let me leave you all with this image of them running along Ballyhome Promenade appreciating the beautiful surrounding we have in North Down.
β€œIf you don’t challenge yourself, you don’t know yourself β€œβ€¦ David Goggins.

These guys will certainly know themselves when they finish this challenge come Sunday morning.
