I love seeing how far people can come, not just in fitness, but in confidence. That’s one of the main reasons why I run the sessions the way I do.

It’s not about perfect technique/form or chasing numbers.

💪 Strength Training: A Boost for Mental Health in Older Adults 💪

Did you know that lifting weights can do more than just build muscle?
(P.S. not a bad thing, nor will it make you bulky).

It can also improve your mental health, especially as we age.

A recent study published in February 2024 found that resistance training significantly improved mental health outcomes in older adults, particularly those dealing with depression and anxiety. Participants who engaged in strength training reported better mood, reduced stress, and overall improved well-being.

Also, I'll add that training in small groups can enhance mental health by encouraging social connections and reducing feelings of isolation. Exercising with others not only makes workouts more enjoyable but also provides a sense of community and support.🤩

So, if you're looking to feel stronger and happier, consider joining a small group strength training session. It's a great way to boost your body and mind.

It’s never too late to start—but starting sooner is always better.

So many of the women I coach come in thinking their body is too old, too painful, or too far gone to change.

But here’s the truth:
👉 Your body is capable of incredible change at ANY age. It just needs the right approach.

✅ Chronic pain? I work around it—and often reduce it.
✅ No gym experience? Perfect. This is where you begin.
✅ Over 40, 50, 60+? I coach women in their 30s right through to their 70s.
✅ Nervous to start? Totally normal—but change only happens when you do.

" Before joining James to train I had been suffering with chronic back pain and wondered if weight training would help me. Waiting to see a pain clinic is fine but what about taking things into my own hands and doing something to help myself?

To be honest I am still in pain but the difference is my mindset has changed. I can feel my body getting stronger, fitter and toning up.

I honestly wish I had started sooner, it’s so encouraging to see, even at my age (67) that my body is still capable of change. Having my strength increased and toning up is already helping me manage my pain better.

James takes into account any ailments or pains we all have and adjusts the exercises accordingly. He doesn’t ‘make’ us do anything but encourages us to push ourselves even the slightest bit which benefits our bodies even more.
Getting up and going, especially in Winter months is definitely challenging but it’s like anything, if you don’t try you just give up.

I would say to any woman, give it a try, I think you’ll be very surprised. My first session I couldn't balance on one knee and cannot believe how far I’ve come.

There are women of all ages, no posers lol and we work hard (most of the time) and have a laugh, especially at some of the noises we make. James is an encourager, meets you where you are and gently takes you to the next level. If however, you’re a seasoned weight trainer he will adjust everything to suit you. We all work at different levels which is very encouraging for me as it lets me see where I could be someday.

I absolutely love the training and have no intentions of giving it up any time soon.
I started with a one to one session so if I felt embarrassed I had no witnesses lol. It was great and highly recommend anyone wanting to start to do that."

I get it - I've got two young kids, and a business to run, so you're not alone.

But something I know helps women like you is:

🍎 working on your nutrition
🏋‍♀️ becoming more active

If you start drinking more water, eating more protein and moving more often, you'll find you gain more energy.

When you're dealing with aches or old injuries, going full throttle is rarely the answer.

That's why my small-group sessions are different.

We work hard (and you'll definitely feel it!), but we also have a laugh along the way.

No military-style shouting or pressure - just good vibes and proper, expert coaching...

That's actually tailored to you and your body.

Each session is capped at 5 women, so you get the attention you need while meeting others on the same journey.

We focus on strength training that:
