Last week the residents enjoyed Phoenix Cafe,organised by Toni one of the project workers.Everyone was happy and got warmed up with their hot chocolate and marshmallows they all enjoyed the buns and scones and other tasty treats,some were bought and some made by our staff☕️🍩🧁🍫🥤🍰

What an amazing and fun Christmas party 🥳 the residents of phoenix have had on Monday 22nd December. Our anual Christmas raffle was a great success this year again raising over £300 for our residents fund, which goes on different activities throughout the year. Want to send special thanks to e everyone that kindly donated prizes as below:

The Phoenix family is mourning the sudden passing of one of our beloved care assistants, Karen Meredith. This news, as you can imagine, came as a massive shock to us all. Karen was loved by all the staff and residents at Phoenix and will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of working with her. We would like to extend our sympathy to Karen's family. Especially our own night shift carer Danni, the daughter of Karen.

Below are some of the things that we loved about her.

Julie (resident)- Karen was a beautiful person and was so full of life.

Barry (resident) - Karen was a good person, kind, and I enjoyed keeping her going. She used to call me Bazza, and I thought this was funny.

Paul (resident) - Karen was a lovely, caring lady who will be sorely missed.

Mark (resident) - Thoughts and prayers are with Danni and her grandchildren. I will miss her. Rest in peace.

Staff-
*Sorry to hear about Karen. Thinking of the family. She will be missed. Deepest sympathy to all the family.
*Karen was a much loved colleague. Thinking of you at this sad time. Xx
*Karen was a fantastic colleague, caring and compassionate, with a great sense of humour, and a love for a good horror movie. She will be missed by all.

Halloween party today in Phoenix and everyone had a really great time🎃🎆🕷🕸👿🧛‍♂️🧛‍♀️🍟🍕🌭🍰🥤plenty of singing and dancing from all the residents and staff😀❤️a big thanks to Kelly Brown for the entertainment and Clare Mcconkey for the decorations and to all the staff who helped out,was a great day.

Well in just over 2 hours Ben ran to victory across the line of the Belfast Half Marathon and we couldn’t be more proud!
Your dad will be so proud of this stunning achievement as will all the Residents in Phoenix Clinic. You are raising this money with heart and generosity and it will go to truly improve the lives of all who call Phoenix Home!

£3253 raised and that is not including some cash donations still to be added! Ben is literally so close to his challenges and we could not be more proud of what he has achieved in his training! What an amazing thing to do for the Phoenix Residents and his Dad. Ray Close may be the fighter in the ring but Ben has proven himself a fighter in life for what he has achieved.
