🎄 Christmas & Boxing Day – Medication Reminder 🎄

With the Christmas and Boxing Day bank holidays approaching, we would like to remind all patients to order their regular medications in good time and not leave requests until the last minute.

Please note that when the practice is closed over the holidays, the Out-of-Hours service is unable to provide routine or repeat medications.

Ordering on time will help ensure you have enough medication to see you through the holiday period. 🎅🎁

Cervical screening can determine whether you have human papillomavirus (HPV) and changes in your cells that could go on to develop into cancer if left untreated. If you are aged between 25 and 64 it's important to book and attend for screening when invited.

If at any time you feel something isn't right, don’t wait, contact your GP.

Stay well this winter

Self-care is often the best choice to treat minor illnesses.

Pharmacists are qualified to give advice about different health matters, including minor illnesses, so consider speaking to a pharmacist before going to your GP.

The latest respiratory report shows an increase across the majority of surveillance indicators for influenza activity, so if you haven’t yet taken up your offer to get vaccinated now is the time before levels increase further!

It usually takes about two weeks for a vaccine to become effective, so if you’re eligible take up the offer without delay.

For further information on flu and COVID vaccines see www.nidirect.gov.uk/wintervaccines

Information about the RSV vaccine can be found at www.pha.site/RSVvaccine
