All children in Year 8 are offered the HPV vaccination. We are currently in the process of visiting all secondary schools to offer this important vaccine. Look out for the information being sent from school regarding this. This may come by e-mail, text or school messaging system. The information will have the link to the online electronic HPV form & the unique code for your child's school.

Please respond as soon as you can – yes or no, we need a reply either way.

The HPV vaccine helps protect against a common virus that can sometimes lead to certain cancers, including:
▪Cervical
▪Anal
▪Mouth
▪Penile
▪Vulval
▪Vaginal cancer
It can also prevent ge***al warts.
Getting vaccinated at this age gives the best protection before any possible exposure to HPV.
Alternatively please call the team on 01924 310133, and a member will be happy to help 😄

The team would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

We have had a very busy 14 weeks visiting all primary, secondary and special schools, vaccinating nearly 25,000 children so far across the Wakefield district against flu. Thank you to all the schools for their support and assistance with such a task!

We will be having a well earned break until Monday 5th January and will respond to any e-mails or messages then.

If your child has not had their Flu vaccination yet, we will be visiting schools for a second time to catch up in January.

Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas 🎅🏼

Flu can be very unpleasant for children and can sometimes cause serious problems, such as pneumonia.

Each winter in the UK, thousands of children who do not have a health condition need hospital care because of flu.

Children can catch and spread flu easily. Vaccinating them also helps protect others who are at higher risk of getting seriously ill from flu, such as babies, anyone who's pregnant and older people.
