On Friday evening, six of Team Novus laced up their trainers to take part in the Walk with Wakey, an 8.2 mile route from Wakefield to Castleford, in support of Wakefield Bed Appeal and the Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation.
In just under three hours, together with so many others, the team helped raise over £2,800 to help provide bed packs for local children and families who need them most.
At Novus, we believe we’re Better Together, and that means being an active part of the communities where we live and work. This was about more than just the walk; it was about showing up, supporting our city, and making a difference to the lives of people in our local community.
A big thank you to the Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation, the organisers, everyone who donated, and all who took part. We’re proud to have played our part in such an important cause. 👏🏼

Our dermatology team often sees swimmers with dry, itchy or irritated skin caused by frequent pool time. The good news?
A few simple skincare steps can help protect your skin from chlorine and keep it healthy all year round.

On 12th July, members of our team took part in the Pretty Muddy Race for Life in support of Cancer Research UK . Climbing, crawling and, yes, getting very muddy all to help raise funds for life-saving research.
We’ve held off posting until now because we wanted to share a final total raised… but the donations are still rolling in! While we wait for the final figure, we couldn’t hold off any longer in sharing how proud we are of the team for their energy, enthusiasm and commitment to a cause that touches so many lives.
Thank you to everyone who’s supported them, and watch this space for the fundraising total!

Do you prioritise hydration as part of your recovery routine?
We often talk about muscle recovery in terms of protein, rest and stretching, but another major player doesn’t always get the attention it deserves. Hydration may not sound like the most exciting topic, but it's one of the most important when it comes to helping your muscles bounce back after exercise or injury.
Discover how staying hydrated can boost your muscle recovery, reduce soreness, and support physiotherapy results. Learn why water is vital for healing.
