We are proud to be supporting Yorkshire Wildlings CIC in delivering Walking for Wellbeing. A free, weekly walking group aimed at improving physical and mental wellbeing across Barnsley and Wakefield.
Led by Yorkshire Wildlings CIC, this community initiative provides a relaxed, welcoming environment for people of all ages to get outdoors, enjoy gentle physical activity and connect with others. The walks focus on reducing isolation, supporting mental wellbeing, and encouraging healthier, more active lifestyles through time spent in nature.🍁
As part of our commitment to creating healthier, more active communities, Novus Health is pleased to support this project by helping to promote access to inclusive, preventative wellbeing opportunities beyond traditional healthcare settings.
Walking for Wellbeing takes place once a week on Thursdays in locations around Barnsley and Wakefield. The first walk will be held at Newmillerdam on Thursday, 15th January, meeting in the car park at 10am for a gentle lap of the reservoir. Friends, family, and well-behaved dogs are welcome.
The service is free to attend, but booking is encouraged to support service monitoring and funding. Participants should wear suitable footwear and clothing and be prepared to cover any parking costs where applicable.
Benefits of Reducing Alcohol Intake
Small changes can make a big difference.
Reducing alcohol can improve sleep, boost energy, and support mental clarity while also benefiting your skin, muscles and joints. Many people notice improved skin hydration and reduced inflammation, helping the body feel stronger, more mobile and more balanced overall.
Your body will thank you, one mindful choice at a time.
