We're pleased to share that Active East Lothian are launching Walking Rugby in partnership with the SRU, East Lothian Rugby, and Ross High Rugby Club.

Walking Rugby is a slower-paced, non-contact version of traditional rugby, designed to be inclusive and accessible for people of all abilities and fitness levels. It focuses on gentle movement, teamwork, and enjoyment, making it ideal for those returning to exercise, managing a long-term condition, or simply looking for a sociable way to stay active. Sessions include light warm-ups, simple drills, and friendly games in a supportive environment—no prior rugby experience is needed.

We’re initially planning to run three sessions to gauge interest. Full details are available on the below poster, but the first session will take place on Thursday 4th June, 7:00–7:45pm, at Ross High Rugby Club (Blawearie Rd, Tranent, EH33 2DB). The activity is FREE and booking is required via the QR code on the poster.

💙 Mental Health Awareness Week starts today (11–17 May).

This year’s theme is Take Action - focusing on small steps that can make a real difference to our mental health.

That could mean:
✨ One action for yourself – getting some fresh air or trying a calming technique
👥 One action for someone else – checking in or listening without judgement
🛟 One action for all of us – knowing where to get urgent mental health support in Scotland

If you or someone you care about needs help urgently, support is available 24 hours a day.

Did you know you can now view key health information online using MyCare.scot?

Anyone registered at a GP practice in Scotland can register and access the following from their medical records:

- allergies
- medicines (short term and repeat)
- Covid and flu vaccinations since 2021
- health and care services near you

It is the first step in an exciting change to the way we interact with
health and social care services. MyCare.scot will give you more choice in how, when and where you find the information you need

The National Contact Centre (NCC) is the main point of contact to support people with queries about MyCare.scot. The NCC (not GP practices) will be clearly signposted from the MyCare.scot
service and will:
• give basic guidance on what information people should see when they sign in to MyCare.scot
• resolve simple queries immediately
• identify technical issues and send them to the appropriate teams
