✨ Friday Night Sound & Sauna: A sound bath experience with Eniko bringing you to deep relaxation with Tibetan singing bowls, followed by silent time in the detoxifying heat of the sauna.

We will split into two groups and swap over, if you have a preference as to Soundbath or Sauna first please let us know on the day and we will try to accommodate this.

Schedule: 5.50pm arrival, 6-6.45pm sound bath, 6.45-7pm change and refreshments, 7-8pm sauna. Book now at the link in our bio !

Story, Sound & Sauna A Spooky Immersive Evening

Sound & Story is a unique collaboration between Paul Speers of Sound Bath Studio and storyteller Sarah MacGillivray.

Join us for an immersive evening where sound and storytelling combine to transport you somewhere else entirely. As the tale unfolds, rich soundscapes and spoken word bring the story vividly to life, inviting your imagination to wander.

Begin the evening by settling into the first part of the story as atmosphere and sound draw you into the world of the tale. Then pause for a relaxing sauna break before returning to reconnect with the group and experience the dramatic climax of the story.

Expect an evening that is a little mysterious, a little magical, and just a little spooky.

Join us on April 2nd for a restorative outdoor sauna session at Hot & Bothy in Archerfield Walled Garden followed by a delicious seasonal lunch in the Garden Café 🌱 The perfect way to warm up, unwind and ease into spring.

Ticket includes:
🧖 A 90 minute sauna session in our two outdoor wood-fired saunas with changing rooms, shower and cold plunges. Afterwards, a warming lunch in the Garden Cafe - a bowl of freshly prepared soup of the day, Focaccia sandwich from a special set menu & a hot drink of your choice.

You might have experienced a taste of Aufguss before at Hot & Bothy… we are so excited for our first full Aufguss event here on April 8th with sauna master Doro! 🔥

Aufguss is a guided sauna ritual rooted in German tradition. During each round, water and ice infused with essential oils are placed onto the hot stones. The rising steam is then directed through the space using precise towel techniques, creating waves of heat, scent and movement. Each round is set to a carefully curated soundtrack, with the experience moving through cycles of intensity and recovery, combining heat, cooling and music to create a structured, multi-sensory ritual.

This two-hour session includes five separate Aufguss rounds, offering a powerful yet restorative experience that leaves you grounded, relaxed and re-energised.

Join us for this two-hour Aufguss session led by Doro - originally from Germany and living in Scotland for the past 20 years, Doro has long felt that one thing Scotland was missing was a strong sauna culture. That is now changing, and she is proud to be part of the movement shaping it. Her mission is simple: to bring authentic German Aufguss to Scotland.

Doro trained as an Aufguss Sauna Master with the Deutscher Sauna Bund e.V., the German Sauna Association, an organisation with over 70 years of heritage in sauna practice and standards. Since autumn 2025, she has been delivering Aufguss events across a range of sauna venues.

Join us to celebrate the Spring Equinox 🌞 with an evening of movement, stillness, heat, and nourishment at Hot & Bothy Community Sauna.

What is Ecstatic Dance?
Ecstatic dance is a conscious and sober movement practice where you are encouraged to let go and express yourself through your movement, guided by Anthony through a journey of music. The idea is to let the music and the sounds move you.

What is a Sound Bath?
A sound bath is a meditative experience immersed in the live vibrations and frequencies of various instruments. Led by Eniko, the main instruments used in your experience will be Tibetan singing bowls. The vibrations are deeply restorative for the physical and mental-emotional body, helping to shift stress and tension and bring a sense of calm and quiet - guiding you into a deeply meditative state between wakefulness and sleep.

Afterwards, we transition into the warmth of the wood-fired saunas. The heat invites a deeper release physically and emotionally - offering space to soften, sweat, and integrate the journey of the evening within a held, communal setting.

We’ll close our celebration of light gathered by the open fire with nourishing daal prepared by - heartwarming, grounding food shared in good company.

As we gather around the Spring Equinox - a moment of balance between light and dark - this evening offers a space to reset and renew. A time to shed the heaviness of winter, awaken the body, and welcome the energy of the season ahead.

Spring Saining and Sauna is a gentle, immersive gathering to mark the Spring Equinox through ancient Celtic practice, mindful connection with nature, and the element of air.

We’ll begin by grounding together and exploring the tradition of saining - what it is, where it comes from, and how smoke cleansing can be used for renewal at this transitional time of year.

We’ll journey on a mindful foraging walk through our woodland to invite us to notice what the land offers, followed by creating our own saining bundles with thoughtfully sourced herbs and plants.

The experience culminates in nourishing sauna time - space to breathe, release, and connect, before a guided closing circle to gently return you to the everyday, refreshed and renewed.

Held by Romaine of Kaluna Yoga, this gathering weaves together seasonal ritual, land-based practice, and warmth - an invitation to honour the turning of the wheel, align with the coming of spring, and step forward renewed 🌱

All are welcome, there will be herbal tea & snacks provided.
