Dear Valued Patient,

Important Update Regarding Prescription Deliveries

We are writing to inform you of an important change regarding our prescription delivery service. Due to the growing pressures on pharmacy funding and increasing operational costs, we will be introducing a charge for deliveries. This decision has not been made lightly, and we remain committed to providing you with the best possible service. We really value your custom and wish to continue to serve you with your pharmacy needs.
Unfortunately, the Government and NHS do not provide any funding for prescription delivery services. Due to the funding crisis facing community pharmacies we are reluctantly having to introduce a prescription delivery charge. It will be £5 per delivery from Monday 10th February 2025.
We understand that this change may cause concern, so we would like to share some alternative options available to you:

1. Collect in person or Collection by Family, Friends, or Neighbors: If you are unable to collect your medication yourself, we encourage you to ask a trusted family member, friend, or neighbor to pick up your prescriptions on your behalf.

2. NHS Volunteer Responders: The NHS Volunteer Responders team can assist patients who do not have anyone to collect their medication. They have a network of dedicated volunteers who can deliver your prescriptions directly to you. You can reach them by calling 0808 196 3646 for support.

We are here to support you in managing your healthcare needs, and our team will continue to provide guidance and advice on the best options for you. **NOTICE TO OUR VALUED PATIENTS**

Thank you for choosing New York Pharmacy. Due to a high volume of prescriptions coming from Collingwood Surgery, we are currently experiencing delays. Their computer systems will be down in October, and as a result, we are receiving an influx of scripts that has created a backlog.

We kindly ask for your patience and understanding during this very busy time. Please allow us minimum 48-72 hours to process and prepare your prescriptions. Rest assured, our team is working diligently and efficiently to ensure that everyone’s medication is ready as quickly as possible.

We are taking part in the national pharmacy walk out tomorrow 19th September 2024 between 9am -12pm during this times are doors will be closed and we will only be dispensing urgent same day prescriptions. Thank you for your understanding
