💔 It breaks our hearts when the sweetest rescues, who’ve been through so much, receive so little interest 😭🥺

All our lovely Lesley needs is someone to see her and believe in her 😢
She just wants a second chance to find her forever home and to know what love and kindness truly feel like.

Details:
Rescued from a kill shelter in November 2025, she is meeting each new day with courage. She’s learning what it feels like to be safe, cared for and loved and is already showing her playful, trusting side.

🌷 About Lesley:
🐾Approx 6 1/2 years old
⚖️ Approx 7.9kg
🩺 No medical concerns
💉Fully vaccinated and spayed
🐶Dog Friendly
🐈 Cannot live with cats ❌
❌ 👶🏼Not suitable for homes with children under 7
⛔️UK APPLICATIONS ONLY⛔️

✈️ Expected Travel Date: Early May

🏡 While we don’t require a large garden, a secure, private garden with direct access from your home is essential.
💰 Adoption Donation: £600 (due 14 days before the confirmed flight date)

🌷 Personality & Needs:
She enjoys outdoor time, lets affection come at her pace, and is building her trust slowly. She gets on well with calm dogs and would thrive with patient adopters who understand slow steps lead to big transformations.

🌷 Why You’ll Love Her:
Once she trusts you, her loyalty is unwavering. She’ll follow you around, curl up beside you, and gaze at you with those soulful dachshund eyes that say it all.

💌 Could Lesley be your second chance at love?

Daisy 🌼 needs you 👉🏻
Dog Meat Trade Dachshund Rescue have invested a significant amount of time advertising Daisy, reviewing applications and conducting interviews and unfortunately we now find ourselves needing to re-list her adoption 🫤

Beautiful Daisy, was rescued from a breeding facility that was closing down last October. She has been safe with our team in China since then, making all the necessary preparations to fly to the UK, and she is now ready to secure her perfect home. Read below to see if this could be you

Age- Estimated 7 years old

Weight- Approx 10kg

Health- Daisy is in good health, she has had some dermatitis due to the dry climate in Beijing, she recently spent some time at the vet having this checked out and our vet confirmed there are no concerns. She is carrying a little extra weight at the moment and her adopter will need to carefully manage this.

Daisy is described as friendly, gentle and affectionate. She has a “delicate personality” and can get on with dogs, cats and people. She has spent a little time with older children at the shelter and was very loving.

Criteria
🪴You must have a secure, enclosed garden accessed directly from your home.

😸 /🐶 -Daisy can live with both cats and dogs.

👶- Please do not apply if you have children under the age of 7.

✈️- Daisy is hoping to fly to the UK in April, so you must be available to collect her and dedicate the time to settle her in to your home.

💰- £600 Adoption donation will be payable 14 days before her flight.

As always, patience, love and time are essential with a rescue dog and you will be supported by our post adoption team every step of the way.

Please only apply if you meet the above criteria, and ensure you put lots of detail into your application- show us why you are the right fit for Daisy ✅ Shortlisted applicants will undergo an interview and homecheck to assess suitability.

Applications will remain open until we fine Daisy’s perfect home 🏡

If you can’t adopt Daisy, how about a small flight fund donation: https://dmtdrsg.org/donate

🐾 Dotty is ready for adoption 🐾

Little Dotty flew from Korea on 30th January and has been living with me in South Essex for the past 4 weeks.

Prospective adopters must be willing to collect her from Essex although it may be possible to transport her some of the way towards a new home, depending on distance.

Dotty was a family pet whose owner had died and she was rescued from a kill shelter in June last year. 😔

The group had decided that they wanted her to be fostered for a little while as she is a bit underweight and they wanted to check whether it was due to an underlying health issue.

I’m pleased to say that in the time she has been with me she has steadily put on weight and, although still a little underweight, my vet doesn’t think it’s due to anything sinister.

At 4.25 kg she really doesn’t let her size stop her from getting involved in everything in typical dachshund style. 😆

Although she’s estimated to be around 7 years old she acts younger, she’s very full of beans, loves toys and is just very, very sweet. 😍

She settled with my 2 dachshund girls really well, sleeping on my bed alongside them from the first day.
She’s great on a lead and enjoys her walks and is friendly to everyone we have met, adults and children alike.

She’s met and mixed with other breeds of dogs too and is sociable and friendly to all. I personally think she would be happiest in a home with at least one other dog to play with.

Her toilet training is a work in progress but the weather has been a bit wet and, like most dachshunds she’s not a fan of the rain. 😆

When rescued Dotty was heartworm positive but, following treatment she tested negative before flying to the UK and a recent blood test in the UK was also negative. However, as an extra precaution she will need a monthly preventative and a retest in July. The charity supports with this.

Dotty’s details

🐾Approx. 7 years old (but acts younger)

⚖️ 4.25kg

🐶 Friendly with other dogs

💉 Fully vaccinated & neutered

🐛 Heartworm positive at rescue

😿 Not cat friendly

👶 Not suitable for homes with children under 7

🏡 While we don’t require a large garden, a secure, private garden with direct access from your home is essential.

All successful adopters receive lifelong support from our post-adoption team. Please follow our settling guidance carefully, remember, it can take up to three months for a rescue dog to fully settle into their new home. Patience, love, and commitment are key❤️

💰 Adoption Donation: £600

🕓 Applications close: Thursday 5th March at 4pm.

***The exercise may close earlier than this date if a high volume of suitable applications are received.***

*** Important Advice***
When completing the application please give as much detail as you can of the home you will be offering Dotty. We can only make our initial decision on who to home check if we get a full picture of your home, your lifestyle, your love of dachshunds etc.

📋 Apply here: https://forms.office.com/e/vp5ENBtxtf

Shortlisted applicants will be interviewed and homechecked week commencing 9th March.

Tarsha and the Gang (Chip, Bertie, Hettie, Rocco and our VIP client guest Gadget) are back at The Glade Rothiemurchus having an absolute blast. To think this time last year poor Tarsha had likely just been discarded onto the streets or China, her spine broken, she was malnoruished, having to drag her frail body across the dirt searching for food and shelter. That was until the amazing Dog Meat Trade Dachshund Rescue and their dedicated team and supporters saved her. Just look at her now. Incredible to think what a simple donation of £1 can do. THANK YOU

If you could donate any amount to help Flori's Friends Rescue - Reg Charity 1177365 pay for the much needed MRI to help sweet Georgie they would very much appreciate it. Thank You.

Tarsha is currently building her strength and stamina at Glenmore and Loch Morlich. She has come such a long way from the broken and frail little girl found on the streets of China. Thank you to each and everyone who has donated to her JustGiving page https://www.justgiving.com/page/tarshas-charity-wheeled-walk?utm_medium=FA&utm_source=CL for her walk in June; every penny goes to saving more Dachshunds from the Dog Meat Trade. We can't wait to see how she does....thank you for your ongoing generosity ❤️🙏🏻
