XLVets member practice, Bishopton Vets, are looking for an Out of Hours Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their dedicated OOH team based at their RCVS-accredited hospital in Ripon, North Yorkshire.
You’ll be part of a supportive and experienced team providing 24/7 emergency and inpatient care, with full nursing and twilight support on-site at all times.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and the chance to develop their emergency and critical care skills, all while benefiting from blocks of time off for an excellent work–life balance.

What’s on offer:
- Salary £40,000–£65,000 (DOE)
- 7 nights on (6:00 pm–8:30 am), followed by 14 nights off
- RVN support throughout every shift

Larkmead Vets Alex, attempts to break a world record!

Vet Alex is attempting to break the World Record for a marathon run in a 4-person costume 🐛 in Frankfurt this weekend. The current record is 3:50:00 and the team (Alex is the head) managed 1:29:30 at the Robin Hood Half a few weeks ago.
We've made sure he's been eating his 🍏🍐 🥭🍓 and 🍊 and keeping the 🍰🍦🥒🧀🌭🍭🥧🌭🍥🍉for the celebrations!
