NURSERY COOK WANTED 👩🏼‍🍳‼️

We are currently looking for someone passionate about delivering delicious home cooked meals for the children at tree tots 😋

If you have experience in a similar role and are looking for a new and exciting opportunity to run your own kitchen and create exciting menus we would love to hear from you!🥰

Hours of work are 8am-2pm Monday to Friday although hours can be disccused during your interview ☺️

Exploring Shadows 💡🐿️

The children at tree tots are fascinated with shadows! They love to watch their own shadows move on a sunny day☀️, draw around their friends shadows 👯‍♀️, and use the torches to see the shapes different objects make 🔦

In this activity the children enjoyed discovering how shadows work by moving the light and animals around and tracing around the animals shadow!✍🏼

💡There are so many learning opportunities when exploring shadows such as:

* Understanding how light and objects interact to create shadows.
* Developing observational skills and spatial awareness.
* Encouraging curiosity and exploration.
* Developing language skills through describing and discussing shadows.
* Promoting creativity and imaginative play.

PROMOTING INDEPENDENCE 🫶🏼🗣️

Promoting independence in children is so important for their self-confidence, problem solving skills, resilience and so much more!

We all know the benefit’s of promoting independence but how many opportunities do we actually provide for the children in our care to be independent!🤔

Here at tree tots we try our best to promote independence everyday!

We do self service meal times where the children can choose what they would like and develop their motor skills serving themselves 💪🏼

Each morning the children have the opportunity to make their own playdough as part of our continous provision 🥣

We also have messy areas in each room where the children have access to all different types of resources and materials all day long- this helps the children to really fulfill their ideas and express themselves as well as working independently and in a team to get all the things they need ready! 🎨🖌️

In each of our rooms we have created a safe, caring and nurturing environment that supports every child’s growing need for independence and plays a vital part in children’s well-being. We try to make our rooms have a natural home like feel that’s comforting for all children what ever age.
If anyone has any old flip style phones or retro phones that they wouldn’t mind donating that would be amazing.

Our acorn room holds 12 babies aged 4 months to 2 years 🐿️

Our lovely educators in baby room provide the children with a calm cosy environment where they feel safe to explore, investigate and learn 🔍
