9-15th October is baby loss awareness week, a time in which those who have suffered the loss of a baby or a miscarriage can feel the support of the local community and know they are not alone.

'Wave of Light' is a globally recognised service held on Wednesday 15th October. Light a candle at 7pm leaving it to burn in memory of all babies who have died too soon.

There will be a service at St Nicholas Church North Walsham starting 6.45pm open to everyone wishing to attend.

We are looking for someone to join our small, friendly team to assist with funerals. This part-time role would suit a caring and empathetic person seeking flexible hours based at Hainford near Norwich.

We require a good communicator with an eye for detail to carry out the following duties:

Provide assistance to the senior team member
Park cars
Assist mourners with any questions they may have on arrival
Drive the golf buggy to assist any mourners with mobility issues
Clean the Cedar Hall after the funeral.

So last evening it was back to our old high school, as we were proud to be one of the local businesses to sponsor the 55th anniversary of the North Walsham High School German exchange with Sheitzer Realshule Mayen. Those present included a teacher (who had taught us both) who experienced the very first exchange trip 55 years ago! So many attended the evening who had been over to Germany and still in close contact with the families they stayed with. Such a valuable experience for today’s young people and long may it continue. Thank you Chef Norgate for the delicious German cuisine.
