The one thing that has helped me to not completely lose my 💩 this week is my MEDITATION PRACTICE...

Pretty much any-thing & every-thing that could go "wrong" or challenge me has been thrown at me this week like a baby 👶 eating spaghetti 🍝

"Political Correctness" Vs "Truthful Honesty" 💁‍♀️

Many people find me a bit blunt... maybe even "rude" ...

But I think thats simply because I don't do Fluff & Bullsh*t ...!

Honesty is the best policy!

That doesn't mean not saying things in a kind, encouraging way ...

But I do believe that our drive to "be inclusive" ... "be kind" ... the toxic 'Body Positivity Movement' ... plus the constant FEAR of "offending" people has resulted in a lot of SICK UNHEALTHY PEOPLE . .

The truth only "hurts" when your unconscious mind recognises the truth in it but its far EASIER & more comfortable to keep lying to yourself. . .

Personally, I believe that - in the long term - we're doing absolutely no favours to anyone by covering the truth in false platitudes, fluffy popcorn 'Self Love' affirmations and walking on eggshells worrying about offending people ...

[BTW Offence can only be taken, not given! It's not your responsibility if someone "gets offended"...!!]

We live in a society where 8 out of 10 people are OBESE - including children - and illnesses & diseases are EVER INCREASING 🤔

Surely the TRUTH, if it helps you be HEALTHIER & [ultimately] HAPPIER is far better than lies & fake compliments...??!

Sounds so simple, right ??!?

Yet many people cannot do it!

Everywhere you go, people have their eyes 👀 glued to their phone 📱
Walking 🚶‍♀️ down the street ...
Sat waiting for a bus ...
Waiting in line ...
At the dining table ...

The majority of people nowadays have become absolutely ADDICTED to BUSY-NESS

And its not totally their fault 💁‍♀️

I grew up in a time of >
No Internet
No mobile phone
5 📺 channels (& programs stopped at midnight)
No sky or Netflix
No Google or Facebook
You had to wait for your photos 📸 to be developed...
You went to the library instead of Google ..


Walking through the hotel 🏨 yesterday, seeing 8/10 people looking at a phone, I thought 💭 "What did we DO before we had phones...??!"

The problem is with 24/7 mobile phones / TV / social media etc our brains 🧠 have become used to being constantly STIMULATED

Add ➕️ our ever increasing To-Do Lists, work commitments etc ...
.. its no wonder so many of us are stressed ... over anxious ... constantly tired ... and struggle to simply RELAX ..

I find it fascinating in class, when I guide people into SAVASANA, watching how people react ;

🙏 Some sink willingly into it (with a blissed out look on their faces...)

🥴🫩 Others fidget ... Check their watch ... Keep stretching or moving ...

And to be honest, I used to struggle to sit Still too...

As if, if i wasn't "doing some-thing" every waking moment, then I was "wasting" time ... 😒

Sound familiar... ???! 💁‍♀️

🧘‍♀️ Balance is not something you find—it’s something you create.

🧘‍♀️ "BALANCE" is also often misunderstood...!

When we talk about "work / life balance" we often think daily life should resemble some kind of pie chart, with an equal amount of "Work, Play, Relax" etc time each day ....

But Life ain't like that!

Just like the seasons, some days / weeks will be busier than others.
Just like some days you'll be full of energy & feel as if you can take on the world.... & other days you simply want to hide away under the duvet...

We have to take "balance" as an OVERALL aspect ;
At the end of the week / month / year, did you take time to do things that bring you joy? Things that increased your knowledge & skills? Things that nourish you mentally & physically? Did you get enough quality sleep overall? Did you improve your health, overall? Has your life / career / relationships improved overall...?

Remember
That which you learn ON the mat, can & should be used to encourage your expansion OFF the mat...

Every stretch, every breath, every moment of stillness is a reminder that growth comes when you step outside your comfort zone.

LAUGHTER is indeed one of the best MEDICINES! 😆

In Israel, scientists conducted a remarkable study. A single drop of a participant’s blood was placed under a microscope and projected on a screen. What they saw was captivating: bacteria slowly moving around… and macrophages — the “clean-up crew” of the blood — just lying dormant.

The bacteria were wandering freely, as if on a peaceful evening stroll. The macrophages? Fast asleep, ignoring their job entirely.

Then something unexpected happened. The participant was shown a funny movie — and as their mood lifted, the macrophages suddenly “woke up.” One of them rolled over to a nearby bacterium and started devouring it with real enthusiasm.

This wasn’t lunch time. This was science.

🧠 Our mood directly influences our immune cells.

Here’s the twist: the blood sample had been separated from the participant and was in a different room. Somehow, the change in the participant’s emotional state affected the blood at a distance.

When researchers switched to horror film clips, the opposite happened. The bacteria became energized, multiplied rapidly, and even started attacking the macrophages, forcing them to retreat.

👉 The state of our consciousness plays a critical role in maintaining our inner ecosystem.

And it doesn’t stop with us. Since our relatives share our bloodline, our emotional states can influence their immune systems too — even across continents. This is what some call “family immunity.”

A watchmaker once shared a story: whenever his left index finger would start twitching — making his delicate work impossible — he wouldn’t massage it or take supplements. He’d call his mother, thousands of kilometers away, and say:

“Mom, you’re worrying again! Stop it — I can’t work like this!”

Even mild maternal anxiety was enough to affect his physiology.

🌿 The takeaway:
The old saying “It’s my life, I’ll do what I want” is outdated. Our mental state impacts not just our health, but the well-being of those we love.

So, find ways to cultivate joy, laughter, and inner harmony — not just for yourself, but for your entire “immune tribe.”

PS: This reminds us of Norman Cousins, who famously healed from a terminal illness through laughter. His story, told in “Anatomy of an Illness” (1976), showed that positive emotions can activate the body’s healing systems. Turns out, “Laughter is the best medicine” isn’t just a saying — it’s physiology.

🚫 Why I Won't Be Having a Flu Jab This Year..🚫

Our bodies have this amazing system called the IMMUNE SYSTEM! Which is basically "a complex network of cells, tissues & organs that work together to defend the body against infections & diseases"...!

There are ways to WEAKEN your Immune System (eg: Avoid fresh air, exercise, & sunshine. Eat lots of processed junk foods. Drink fizzy drinks & alcohol. Keep your stress levels high. Don't get enough quality sleep....!)

There are also natural ways to STRENGTHEN your Immune System (coz Mumma Nature provides everything we need!!)

I take a daily dose of Ginger 🫚 Turmeric Root, Honey 🍯 Apple Cider Vinegar, Lemon 🍋 & Himalayan Pink Salt (& when I need an extra extra boost i take my homemade Rosehip & Hawthorn Berry Syrup!)

The study proved that its far more important to keep your own Inner Environment (your body / Immune System) healthy! Because it is a weakened & compromised Immune System that becomes dis-eased . . .

Vaccines supposedly "teach your Immune System" to recognise & respond to "threats" (such as viruses)
The crazy part...?

It ALREADY KNOWS! because thats its whole purpose!

It's like someone putting your hand onto a hot 🔥 stove & burning it "so that you recognise when something is hot....!"

I know which i have more faith in! (& its NOT Proctor & Gamble... or Pfizer ....!!)
