Before the year wraps up, take time to acknowledge what you’ve achieved:
You’ve travelled further than you think.
You’ve handled things you never thought you could.
You kept going through tired days, full days, and “one step at a time” days.
That’s worth appreciating.

If you're one of those therapists with a love-hate relationship with social media, you’re not alone.
I’ve put together 8 simple social media post ideas for hypnotherapists that you can reuse and adapt; no marketing background needed, no pressure to be “clever”, and no constantly reinventing the wheel.
There's also a free checklist to download when you start to use them for yourself.

You can read the blog here: https://hypnotherapytrainingblog.blogspot.com/2025/12/therapists-social-media.html

I’ve put together 8 simple social media post ideas for hypnotherapists that you can reuse and adapt; no marketing background needed, no pressure to be “clever”, and no constantly reinventing the wheel.

They’re the kinds of posts that help people get to know you, build trust, and understand how hypnotherapy can help, ready to be tweaked for your needs and mingled in with sales posts so your timeline catches people's interest and encourages them to follow you.

We know that hypnosis and relaxation are not the same: you can be relaxed without being in trance, and in trance without being relaxed. But relaxation is still a useful therapeutic tool. And as therapists, our words to bring this about matter, especially for clients who find relaxation difficult. Instead of saying, “Begin to relax,” try, “Let’s see how easily you can begin to relax.”
It’s a small tweak, but it makes your suggestion collaborative instead of directive, and clients respond better when they feel part of the process.

Every so often, a client reminds me just how powerful personalised session content can be. I once used a simple “protective bubble” metaphor, something most of us have used in one form or another.
Afterwards, she told me that, as a child, her mum used to tuck her into bed saying she was “wrapped in a bubble of love”. The moment she heard the words, she said it brought back all the safety and comfort of those evenings.
It’s a good example of why metaphors land so differently when they’re shaped around their world rather than ours. And why I wrote Their Worlds, Your Words to help you do exactly that, whether you’re working off the cuff or adapting existing scripts.

If you’ve been qualified and in regular hypnotherapy practice for at least a year, you might be ready for a deeper level of supervision.
My Advanced Supervision Group on Zoom is designed for therapists who want:
• richer reflective practice
• space to explore more complex cases
• a supportive group of peers
• confidence with boundaries, ethics & clinical decision-making

Next date: Thursday 11th December
7 – 9 pm on Zoom

We meet once a month and alternate between Tuesday mornings and Thursday evenings. It’s warm, collaborative, and ideal if you’re looking to grow as a practitioner rather than simply “tick the supervision box.”
If you’d like to join us, just drop me a message to ask for details.

A reminder for December:
You don’t need to “finish the year strong.”
You can finish the year softly.
Slowly.
Kindly.
A quiet, calm December is still a December well-lived.
