Sowerby House is a stunning Edwardian property nestled in picturesque surroundings on the outskirts of Thirsk that has been transformed into a contemporary residential care home for those who require Residential or Dementia care. We’re a forward-thinking, innovative and highly experienced team that provides personalised care in a safe and supportive environment to our residents who live in our homes with dignity, choice and independence. With almost 20 years expertise in the older people's sector, our highly trained staff colleagues are experts in delivering award winning care. We develop our staff care colleagues to deliver high quality care and support, providing safe, secure and specialist care to residents so they can live fulfilling, rewarding and happy lives. Our ongoing investment programme means all our homes are well presented and maintained to help our residents feel at home. And we’re opening new homes over the coming years to bring our much-needed services to more locations.

Happy Valentines Day 💕

This Valentine’s Day, Jean wanted to share a little extra love 💗
We had a think and thought what better way to celebrate Valentines Day than with chocolates and a poem so Jean has been busy putting together special parcels for both our residents and staff.

It’s the small acts of kindness that make our care home feel so special.

Yesterday our Rewind and Reminisce Session was all about Love ❤

We checked the Marks and Spencer's archive to see what has been popular throughout the years, we all agreed that they did lovely chocolates!

We then spoke about our own experiences of love and shared happy memories of our weddings and how fashion had changed over the years.
