We said a sad goodbye for now to the lovely Breez this week as she moves up to Scotland! 😢🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Breez came to us following an early hip dysplasia diagnosis. Being under 1 year old and having treated her older sister previously, her owner brought Breez in for assessment, hydro-treadmill and crucially, home exercise management and advice.

We’re so sad to see this gorgeous goofball go but we’re so glad she and her owners are relocating with all the homework and advice needed to continue her progress. 💪

Meet 13 year old Ember! Look at her go! Her hydrotherapy on the treadmill and physiotherapy with Trudy and Gina keep her zooming with ease! She no longer needs Loxicom and keeps up with the pack no problem on walks. Maintain mobility and maintain life in your older dogs 🐕

Best new client review EVER! 🤣

This young chap decided his first session was SOO great, he found his way back into the treadmill as his owner and I were finishing up!

We always take time to make sure our clients are as relaxed and confident as possible. It makes our sessions much more productive and enjoyable all round. ☺️

⭐ of the week goes too… Skylar!

This week, Skylar was DISCHARGED 👏

When she first came to us, Skylar future was uncertain. She was struggling with anxiety and discomfort at under a year of age, her vets were struggling to handle her, and after many specialist opinions, no one was certain on her prognosis. 😔

At such a young age, her owner wanted to avoid surgery and try complementary treatment options. We’ve addressed her walking apparatus, improved her body posture, relieved tension, and gained muscle mass to support her hips and improve discomfort.

Today, we waved Skylar off! She is doing fantastically and enjoying offlead play time, as a young dog should, will no ill after effects. 🙌

‼️ Upcoming staffing and admin notice:

As many know, Trudie is on leave for 3 WHOLE weeks from Friday 20th June. 💒

Thankfully, Gina is overseeing all appointments in the meantime so all clients can expect business as usual!

5 Weeks Difference! 👏🏻

This is Luna…

When Luna first came to us she had significant atrophy (muscle wastage) of her back legs, developed a compensatory low head carriage, and had minimal exercise tolerance.

It slowly became clear to our physios that perhaps there was more to Luna’s case than first thought. A few days later, Luna underwent bilateral cruciate ligament surgery with the team at Pennine Veterinary Referrals

These photos were taken 5 WEEKS APART. Look at that muscular development! 😮 ❤️

🧐 How??
Careful management, physio-hydro, and prescribed home exercises that her owners have been completing between sessions.

📢 PSA: Owners, if you nail the physical rehabilitation post surgery, you will see quicker, more significant improvements whilst reducing the risk of complications, partial recovery or future re-injury! That’s what studies and years of scientific research tells us.
