Update on Trudie…

We are most definitely still running appointments, and we’ve a newbie join the AquaPaws family! 💦

Keep your eye peeled for a long overdue staff re-introduction… 👀

2 weeks (well, day 16) on box rest update:

I am still very much on box rest but managing to keep sane (for the moment)🤪. After spending a week thinking I was facing 8 WHOLE WEEKS laid FLAT in hospital, my treatment options have improved dramatically (which was no easy feat!)

I’m now home! 🏡 But under strict instructions to rest and limit movement in an attempt to avoid surgery. I’m having regular imaging to check its progress but so far, it’s doing ok! 🤞🏼

Ironic because I say this to clients a lot…
YOU are your (and your animals) best advocate!! If you don’t speak up you may be handed the simple option, not necessarily the best option. Shout loud enough and they’ll listen 💁🏼‍♀️ I’ve got all the tips if anyone needs. 😂

…FALSE‼️

👂🏽Ever heard of ‘prevention is better than cure’ … that’s exactly why hydrotherapy is appropriate for any dachshund no matter age or IVDD status!💦

All dachshunds have a risk of developing this condition and that is why regular maintenance strength and conditioning work is crucial to supporting their spinal health 🐶

✋ IMPORTANT!

Unfortunately Trudie has fractured her back this morning, so she won’t be able to run appointments for the foreseeable. 😔

Gina will cover appointments as best she can however our usual opening availability will be disrupted. Trudie try to get round all affected (Wed/Thursday) clients asap from her bed.

This however should mean the admin gets some quicker than normal! 🙈😂
