So this is quite a personal post, & I've deliberated actually posting it... but.... as you know I'm all about looking after ourselves, & that does mean talking & sharing so here I am!
This is a huge shout out to Sarah- Nutritional Therapist, this lady for me is on the highest rung of a pedestal, & I need the whole world to know how fabulous she is!
So long story short, I have always struggled with period pains, bloating, hormone imbalance etc etc. Over the years I've tried everything! Cutting out gluten, dairy, I've gone vegetarian, vegan, you name it, I've tried it! A couple of years ago I met Sarah through a mutual friend, Sally Rose Holistics (who is also fabulous!), & i went on one of their retreat days. Sarah talked about nutrition then and I was so interested in what she had to say, that I began following her on line. Last November I did her 28 hormone rebalance programme and it was amazing! I felt so so good on it.
But before that, I started getting some very horrid symptoms happening to me. As many of you know, I'm not good at sitting still, so when the weather was nice last spring/ summer I would often walk in the evenings, or do a workout. I started to experience excruciating period pains, almost like labour pain, and came out in horrific hives all over my body. My husband took me to urgent care a couple of times as we were both quite scared by it. The episodes would last about 1 to 2 hours and then I'd be totally fine as if nothing had happened! The doctors didn't know what to do with me, they had no clue what it could be, and I was just advised to take antihistamine.
Well I couldn't live like it, as I was worried to go anywhere or do anything in the evenings! This is the only time it would happen. Any other time of the day, I was totally OK to exercise and walk!
So I contacted Sarah to ask if she could help me, and she said she was pretty sure she could and that she knew what was causing it!!
I was elated! So end of January this year, I began working with Sarah, one on one. And she has completely changed my life! No more bloating, no more period pains, no mood swings (well not as many lol) and I can move in the evenings!!!! I honestly feel amazing & just wanted to share this in case you also need help but don't know where to go.
I always thought that I ate & lived a fairly healthy life anyway, but with tweaks & info from Sarah, I'm feeling better than I have ever ever felt!
