💥Do you know who’s removing the wax from your ears?💥

The wax removal industry isn’t regulated, so many so callled ‘professionals’ are working in and around the area claiming they know what they are doing. Please please go to a fully qualified Audiologist for your wax removal and hearing tests. We are fully qualified Audiologists with years and years of experience within the NHS and private sector and have seen too many cases of patients going to someone who isn’t properly trained being told one thing then eventually coming to us with more problems than they started with.

Wax removal - £40 for one ear, £70 for both.
Hearing Assessment’s - free of charge.

We also do a range of hearing aids and if you buy hearing aids from all, all your aftercare including wax removal is included in the price while you have those aids.

We have had several new patients recently who had been to other local wax removal services and all were told the wax had been removal from their ears but they were still struggling with their hearing or felt like their ears were still blocked.

They fortunately found us and made an appointment, each time they had hard impacted wax down near their ear drum. Unfortunately for these patients they had paid for wax removal by someone who wasn’t an audiologist, they were either a beautician who had done a quick wax removal course or a pharmacist who had done the same.

Please please make sure it’s a fully qualified Audiologist who you see for your wax removal appointments. Ears are so precious and things can go wrong quickly when someone who isn’t properly qualified is trying to remove wax.

Wax removal isn’t regulated so you must do your own checks when booking an appointment.

We are fully qualified audiologists with over 35 years of experience within the NHS and private sector, we are registered and fully insured.

If you buy hearing aids from us included in the price is all your aftercare including wax removal. We see so many patients who have bought hearing aids from a high street brand and then come to us for wax removal as the high streets brands can’t do wax removal.

Our patients don’t pay for wax removal if they buy hearing aids from us.

Our hearing aids all come with a 5 year warranty too.

Let’s talk about Real Ear Measurements (REM) – they are considered the gold standard in hearing aid fitting and verification, allowing Audiologists to determine whether a hearing aid user is receiving the precise level of amplification needed at every frequency to maximize their hearing.

Real-ear measurements, are an objective measure of what a hearing aid is doing inside the ear canal. A thin probe microphone is placed within 5 mm of the ear drum and a sound stimulus is delivered to the ear via a loudspeaker.

These measurements are essential to perform because the anatomy of the ear canal is unique to each person, which will impact the sound delivered to the ear canal. Real-ear measurements are the only way you can measure and account for these effects in the hearing aid programming.

Are your hearings aids set up using real-ear-measurement?

Unfortunately and surprisingly REMs have not been widely embraced in the audiology industry, with less than 30% of Audiologists using REM to verify hearing aid fittings, even though it's an established best practice and has been proven to offer extensive benefits to both the patients and the clinics.

We use REM’s with all of our hearing aid patients, this sets us apart from the high street brands who offer hearing aids. We always offer the best to our patients.
