Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is ask for help.

When you are in a dark place, it may seem like there is nothing or no one that can make it better but the thing is you probably don’t need ‘fixing’. Fixing may make you feel even more helpless and reliant on others.

What you may find is that you just need to feel less alone. That you need someone else to hold that vision of you in a better place until you can see it for yourself again.

That person isn’t anyone. It may not be your partner, parent or friend. They need to be able to sit with you in the dark place without the urge to move you or suggest solutions. Just sit with your pain/ sadness/ suffering.

And even though you are still in the dark place you feel less alone. The pressure and judgement dissolves. And because you are accepting of where you are in this moment it somehow feels less dark, more safe. And because you now have some space and feel less alone a way forward begins to appear.

Be selective. Choose carefully.

Are you willing to live more consciously? To connect with your surroundings and the people around you?

Notice how you feel when you do.

We are used to living at such a fast pace that it can feel uncomfortable slowing down. Initially you may just manage moments, but these moments are where you will find contentment and joy. Over time you can stretch this.

I’m back from a weeks break and looking ahead. As we move into Autumn and the final quarter of the year it’s the perfect time to plan. Some people see September as a fresh start, a new term. There are still 4 months to achieve your end of year goals.

If like me, the events of the past week have left you feeling heavy, you’re not alone my friend.

The anger and violence across the country has been deeply unsettling.
If you are an empathic, deeply feeling human you will have spent time and energy thinking about the devastation and terror these racist attacks have had on the lives of the people in our communities and you will be feeling depleted.

People we love, people we value, people who belong here have had their lives turned upside down.
The ignorant and atrocious acts of a few by no means represent the majority. I for one value and want to live in a richly diverse community where all people feel safe and valued.

I trust that our government and police force can and will restore safety in our communities and bring about justice.
The actions of a few are impacting businesses and well-being and I hope that this can quickly be restored.

Yesterday brought hope as many turned out to be a visible force against terror and violence.
For some it may be triggering unhealed trauma from Covid and the lockdowns. I certainly felt a sense of panic when I was evacuated from a building yesterday and told to go straight home.

It’s a LOT. It’s felt out of control. Be gentle and kind to yourself and the people around you, you never know what else is going on for them. And remember that media represents a fraction of the reality. It will be based on an agenda or what it is thought you want to see. There is still good in the world, you just may not be seeing it.

You don’t need to know what that help looks like (that’s my job).

Consultation sessions give me the opportunity to find out what you need and what I can offer you and give us both the opportunity to see if we can work together. Having a good fit with your chosen support is important.

It’s never a case of ‘one-size fits all’, everyone is different and therefore everything I offer is flexible.

Throwback 😂

7years ago I gained my meditation teaching qualification.

I had a migraine that day - I couldn’t see when it came to using our scripts, so I had to work from my intuition.

Bit of a sign there I reckon 🙈

7 years on and I meditate every morning.

During the pandemic I recorded over 30 audio relaxations to help people with anxiety and uncertainty and they went all over the world 🌍

Now I use scripts for Hypnobirthing or Trauma recovery but love, love, love guiding a meditation intuitively.
