Northdale - Growing Together Northdale is a registered charity providing training, work-based activities and social & leisure opportunities for adults with learning disabilities.

Northdale is a registered charity providing training, work-based activities and social & leisure opportunities for adults with learning disabilities who live in the Hambleton and Richmondshire districts and beyond. We work with people who live in the Hambleton and Richmondshire areas of North Yorkshire and beyond. We are working with approximately 100 people at any one time. We operate out of facilities based in Northallerton & Colburn. We were established in 1988 and with your continued support have been growing our range of services ever since. Our Northdale, Northallerton site has a Garden Nursery, Gift Shop and The Tea Room that are all open to the public. We also run and host a wide range of public events all year round. Location: Northdale, Northallerton
Contract: Full-time, permanent (37.5hrs per week)
Annual salary: £25,233

Do you have a passion for people, plants, retail and making a difference?
We are looking for a Retail Group Instructor to support adults with learning disabilities to develop skills, confidence, and independence while working in our Garden Nursery & Gift Shop at our Northdale, Northallerton site.
This is a rewarding, hands-on role combining support work, horticulture and retail within a friendly, values-driven charity environment.

About the Role
As Retail Group Instructor, you’ll work closely with our Garden Nursery instructor to support adults with learning disabilities to serve customers, care for plants, and contribute to the day-to-day running of our Garden Nursery & Gift Shop. You will help create a vibrant, welcoming space that showcases the high-quality products made by Northdale clients and reflects our strong local reputation for plant knowledge & choice as well as fabulous handmade gifts.
