Simple swaps for a low-tox home.

Creating a space that supports your hormones, nervous system, and immune system doesn’t have to be complicated, it starts with small, conscious choices. Don’t feel like you have to replace everything all at once and instead gradually make some switches instead of restocking toxic products and see how you find them.

Kitchen: Non-toxic pans (Our Place are my fave, they’re currently in the black Friday sale), glass storage containers, coconut oil or animal fats instead of seed oils, toxin-free coffee (Exhale)

Only 5% of nitrates in European diet come from processed meat while more than 80% come from vegetables

Nitrates themselves are naturally occurring & health benefits. So even when you’re buying nitrate free bacon - it technically still contains nitrates but instead it is listed under a different term eg beetroot or celery powder.

It’s not a bad thing, but something to bear in mind.

Just in the nick of time before October ends 🎃Starting a new series each month where I share seasonal produce for us in the UK. I noticed while food shopping this week how many things I was buying that weren’t from the UK so going to try pick more local produce options going forward where I can. Also really want to start going to the market instead of supermarket when I can.

I always prioritise meat for protein & fat in every meal too!
