Arts Award Bedford – Weekly Update 🎭

Today we’re celebrating the Bedford team as they near the completion of their Arts Award qualification 🎉

Over the past weeks, the group have been developing their logbooks, reflecting on the activities they’ve enjoyed most, and identifying the creative areas they’re excited to explore further. They’ve also been planning and refining their individual creative pieces, visualising their final outcomes and mapping out how they’ll bring their ideas to life. Each session has been thoughtful, creative and full of inspiration ✨

A huge shout-out to H**e, our Head of Education, who is doing an absolutely amazing job delivering this qualification across both Northampton and Bedford 👩‍🏫

The preparation has been wonderful, the sessions have been engaging and inclusive, and every student has had the opportunity to take part and thrive. We’re so proud of how far everyone has come!

We can’t wait to see these final projects completed — watch this space! 👀🎭

We’re looking for supportive businesses to offer a short work experience placement to one of our incredible students. These opportunities build confidence, skills, and future aspirations — and for businesses, it’s a powerful way to champion inclusivity and give back to the community.

We will provide a dedicated member of Born to Perform Staff to support for the duration of the placement.

Northampton — a busy day with our wonderful students ✨

Our Arts Award group took on Week 4 in style, conducting their own interviews with the The Old Savoy Home of The Deco Theatre staff team. They learned all about the theatre’s history and the many job roles that keep it running — and they absolutely smashed it. Huge thank you to the amazing Matt and Lisa for taking part. You’re the best! 💛

We also got creative designing our own photo frames to take home, and enjoyed our weekly sessions with Tresham College musical theatre students, this week focusing on dance technique and building confidence through movement 🩰🎨

And of course… a whole lot of fun, laughter, and memory-making with our BTP besties 🥰
