If healthier meals feel underwhelming when you start a new diet... that's completely normal.

You're not doing it wrong. You're not broken.

You've likely just spent a long time eating food that's been engineered to taste amazing - salt, sugar, fat, texture - all dialled up to max.

Unfortunately I think this messes with your expectations of how textures and tastes of food should be.

So when you go from that to lean protein, veg, whole carbs... of course it feels a bit bland at first.

But here's the good news - your mindset and taste buds will adjust.

It doesn't take long before those foods start tasting good again.

And when you're not constantly overstimulated by hyper-flavoured stuff, you'll actually start to appreciate the simple stuff again.

No, this doesn't mean you can never eat the tasty stuff.

Food is most definitely meant to be enjoyed.

But it does mean understanding how it influences your cravings - and how your body adjusts.

If you're in that early phase where nothing tastes exciting, just hang in there.
It gets easier.

We’re doing a half marathon hike for Cancer Research UK! 🥾

Like most people, I’ve known people affected by cancer. It’s hard to find someone who hasn’t.

So on 14th June, I’ll be hiking 13.1 miles through the Peak District with a group of members from TSC Training Studio.

We’ve been doing weekly walks as a team to build some endurance, on top of the good stuff we do in the studio.

It’s been a decent excuse to catch up outside the studio and have a few laughs along the way when we get lost 😂

We’re all raising money for Cancer Research UK. If you’re up for supporting the cause, I’d really appreciate it. 💷

Thinking about Dry January? 🍺❌ Here’s why it might be worth it…👇

You don’t have to go dry in January to reach your goals.

But cutting out alcohol—even for a few weeks—can make things a whole lot easier.

“Your diet has to be sustainable, or you’ll just gain it all back.” You’ve heard this before, but let’s break it down…

I don’t fully agree with that. Weight loss is a temporary phase—you don’t need to make it sustainable forever, just long enough to reach your goal.

Here’s the thing: To lose weight, you need to stick to your approach long enough to see the results. That takes consistency, discipline, and patience.

But sustainability comes after the weight loss:

It’s about how you maintain your results long-term.

It’s about creating habits and a lifestyle that you can actually stick with.

You can lose weight fast or slow:

Fast = quick results, but you’ll need a solid maintenance plan.

Slow = more time to build habits that last beyond the weight loss phase.

So, if you’re thinking that what you’re doing isn’t sustainable to lose weight—remember, it’s not meant to be.

What Jess DIDN’T do to lose 68 lbs…

• Opt for liposuction 💉
• Use fat burner pills 💊
• Drink juice cleanses 🧃
• Cut carbs out completely 🍞
• Spend endless hours doing cardio 🏃‍♀️

While shortcuts are everywhere, Jess’s transformation is a real standout.

She’s done it with smart changes to her nutrition, exercise, and mindset.

And yes, there were plenty of challenges along the way, but she kept showing up and putting in the work.

Patience isn’t her favourite trait (she’d agree with that one 😂), but losing nearly 6 stone in under a year naturally is pretty impressive.

Huge respect to Jess for making it happen—and she’s not even done yet! 👏

I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has wished me good luck as we get closer to launching our new fitness studio at KG House next to Dallington.

I’ve been working every hour available to make it amazing and your messages of support have meant the world!

This brings me onto tomorrow. It’s a huge day! 🎉

It’s been a long time coming but we’re finally giving our waiting list the chance to become a founding member at TSC Training Studio 💪

We have 50 member spots to fill the studio and already have 23 register for priority booking tomorrow!

Here’s how we’re doing it:

1. At 7am, I’ll email everyone who has requested to “skip the queue” to book their free consultation

2. At 8am, I’ll email the entire email list (261 people now!!?) with the same email.

3. Next Monday, I’ll release the offer to the public (if there’s spaces still left)

If you’re not on the list, it’s likely you’ll miss out.

But if you want to skip the queue and get notified at 7am tomorrow… comment SKIP below and I’ll try and make my way through everyone tonight!
