We’ve noticed a bit of conversation in the village about the planning application we’ve submitted, so we wanted to share a clear update with our community.
Part of the café building is being converted into a 2-bed apartment, but please be assured that the café is open as usual every day from 7.30am–3pm and continues to be part of village life.
Over the last year we’ve had lots of interest in longer stays, so the planning application simply allows us to explore options for the future and think about how The Roade House can continue to evolve in a sustainable way as we plan ahead for retirement.
We care deeply about being part of this community, and we’re always happy to answer questions.
We now have 30 seats still in the cafe, plus reception and outdoor areas.�If you’d like to know more, please do message Paul.

🎁 We’re Now a Drop-Off Point for the NLive Radio Christmas Present Appeal! 🎁

We’re really proud to be supporting NLive Radio, Northampton’s local radio station, with their wonderful Christmas Present Appeal this year. 💛

From now until mid-December, you can bring your new, unwrapped gifts (no food or used toys) to The Roade House, and we’ll make sure they get to families and older people in our community who need a little extra kindness this Christmas.
The appeal is bigger than ever this year, with locations across Northampton all working together to make sure everyone has a present to open. 🎄✨

Every single gift helps — whether it’s something small, something thoughtful, or something cosy.
