Ask yourself this - When Did You Last Clean Inside Your Shoes?

Our feet are still firmly wrapped up in winter boots and shoes… but here’s something to think about:

How often do you clean the inside of your footwear?

Most of us wouldn’t dream of wearing the same socks day after day without washing them – yet many people put their feet back into the same uncleaned shoes every single morning.

Warm, enclosed footwear creates the perfect home for sweat, bacteria and even fungal spores. Over time this can lead to unpleasant odours, irritated skin and an increased risk of fungal infections.

At Sole at Heart Clinic, we always say:

👣 Treat your shoes as carefully as you treat your feet
👣 Air them out after wearing
👣 Rotate pairs to allow them to dry fully
👣 Use an antibacterial or antifungal spray
👣 Wash or replace insoles when needed
👣 And of course – fresh socks every day!

Healthy feet start with healthy habits.

📞 Meet Amy – Our AI Receptionist!

Clinic life is getting busier and busier (which we’re so grateful for 👣), and when we’ve got a patient sitting in front of us, it’s not always possible to answer the phone.

So… we’ve have thought how can we deal with this issue without obtaining any extra cost.We have had to roll with the future and go AI ✨ If you call Sole at Heart and we can’t pick up, Amy will take your message for us. She makes sure no calls are missed while we focus on giving our patients our full attention.

We understand not everyone wants to talk to AI — believe us, it’s taken some getting used to for us too! 😄 But this is the future, and we’re stepping into it together with you.

Leave your details with Amy, and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can .Its just Modern tech, but same caring team ☺️

Our patients mean so much to us, and many truly take a piece of our hearts. Although Rosie was not a direct patient, her husband is. When they visited the clinic together, they always brought laughter with them.Rosie was a truly lovely lady and will be greatly missed by at Sole at Heart. RIP lovely lady xx

Today we say goodbye to our Rosemary.
A regular customer who became so much more to us.
We wanted to take a moment to share how deeply missed she will be.

Rosemary was so much more than a customer to us — she was an extra Nan, a familiar face, and someone who truly became part of our family.

Our thoughts are with her fantastic family, who she was so incredibly proud of. We’re sending you all our love and strength today and in the days ahead.

Sleep tight, Rosey. We hope they’ve opened your water up there for you 💜

Krisztina is back at Sole At Heart Foot Clinic on the 7 th feb with only 2 appointments currently left.

FACT: Your lymphatic system moves up to 20 litres of fluid every day, without a pump.

Unlike the heart, lymph flow depends on movement, breathing, and healthy lymph pathways.
When this system slows, fluid accumulates — leading to swelling, heaviness, bloating, and slow recovery.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a gentle, medically-based technique that works on superficial lymph vessels, helping to stimulate flow and redirect trapped fluid to functioning drainage pathways.

💧 In a single MLD session, the body may move hundreds of millilitres up to several litres of retained lymph fluid, depending on congestion, inflammation, surgery, or hormonal changes.

This is not cosmetic.
It’s clinical support for a vital system.

❄️ Why Foot Hydration Is Essential in Winter ❄️

During the winter months, the skin on our feet is exposed to multiple drying factors including cold temperatures, reduced air humidity, central heating, and prolonged time in socks and enclosed footwear. These conditions significantly compromise the skin barrier, leading to dehydration, increased callus formation, fissures and discomfort.

Maintaining adequate hydration of the feet is a key part of preventative foot health care. Well-hydrated skin remains flexible and resilient, reducing the risk of painful cracks and helping to protect against infection.

Daily application of a suitable foot cream supports skin barrier function and improves overall skin integrity. For best results, creams should be applied consistently, ideally in the evening, allowing active ingredients time to work.

At Sole At Heart, we offer a carefully selected range of professional foot creams and emollients, each formulated to address specific skin concerns. We assess your feet and advise on the most appropriate product to support both treatment outcomes and long-term foot health.

Healthy feet start with healthy skin and winter is the most important time to prioritise hydration.
