As one of the UK’s leading contact lens practices, it’s important to stay on top of the latest breakthroughs in technology and products as we strive to achieve improved visual quality for our patients.
Our own Brian Tompkins was proud to be part of a panel discussion at the recent Global Scleral Lens Symposium event held at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas.
The conference saw 600 of the world’s most foremost eye care professionals come together to share their thoughts on the ever-changing landscape of speciality contact lenses for patients with conditions such as keratoconus and myopia and those requiring scleral lenses or treatments for higher order aberrations (HOAs).
We were honoured to receive an award at the event for our dedication to treating patients with HOAs, something we have been particularly passionate about since becoming the first practice in the UK to use the groundbreaking OVITZ.us technology.
As always, the event was a fantastic opportunity to network and chat with the biggest names in optometry.
Brian had the chance to speak to prominent scleral and keratoconus influencers including , Ash Arellanes () from the Angel Eyes Foundation and Rebecca Petris from the .
Normally what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, but this time we are definitely going to be sharing our learnings and will treasure the real-life stories that shine a light on the everyday issues experienced by HOA patients.
Thank you Las Vegas. Thank you GSLS. And thank you to everyone we met along the way.
