Northamptonshire’s first ever countywide Tourism Business Awards took place at Silverstone Museum, bringing together the very best of our visitor economy to celebrate excellence across the county 💚

We were proud to be the Charity Partner for this inaugural event, delivered by Discover Northamptonshire, recognising the organisations, attractions and individuals who make Northamptonshire such a welcoming and vibrant place to visit.

Congratulations to all the winners and those highly commended on the night – along with every finalist who represents the strength and creativity of our local tourism sector.

On the evening, an incredible £1,300 was raised through the charity raffle to support our Sensory Spaces Appeal, helping us fund calming, supportive environments across local healthcare settings. Thank you to everyone who bought a ticket and made a difference.

It was a privilege to stand alongside so many passionate businesses and partners who are championing Northamptonshire regionally and nationally.

Our Oncology Patient Cafe is now open! Offering free hot drinks and refreshments for people with cancer at Northampton General, made possible thanks to our supporters💚

This welcoming space offers complimentary hot drinks and refreshments for people attending treatment appointments, along with their families. Being based on the department means people don't need to leave the area to find a drink, helping make long days in hospital a little more comfortable.

The café has been refreshed thanks to charitable funding and now includes a self-service set-up, so support is available whenever it’s needed. Supported by volunteers, there is also the chance for a friendly face and conversation.

You can get involved today by supporting our Buy a Cup of Comfort initiative where you can help us continue providing small comforts like this for people with cancer.

🌿 New garden space now open Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust 🌿

Thanks to supporters of Northamptonshire Health Charity, patients using the maternity inpatient area now have a calm and welcoming outdoor space.

The garden offers a peaceful place to enjoy fresh air, connect with loved ones and step away from the clinical environment during their stay. For families experiencing longer or more complex hospital stays, access to a secure outdoor area can make a real difference to wellbeing.

Time in nature can support relaxation and emotional wellbeing, while providing a space for bonding and reflection. Children can explore the flowers and decorative features in an area designed with them in mind, creating positive moments during what can be a challenging time.
