A day at the seaside was the topic of discussion at the Memory Café at Franklin Gardens this month. Residents enjoyed chatting to other people from the community who attend, sharing their memories of holidays and food they liked to eat while at the seaside.

❤️Thank you so much to everyone who supported us this year with our Summer Fete. It was a great turn out with the weather staying dry. Johnny Red entertained us with his rock n roll, while Lucia Tiny Farm kept the kids (and adults) amused.
❤️Thank you to all the volunteers, the staff, the stall holders, residents and visitors who helped to make the afternoon a huge success.

£674 was raised for our residents fund where we are fund raising for an interactive table.

During our monthly residents meeting, residents requested a nice shandy and a gin & tonic, so we listened and obliged. Every month activity staff will be visiting all floors with a tipple trolley. The first one went down a treat.

We don't really need an excuse for a little tipple at the Angela Grace but it sure helps! Residents enjoyed a glass of wine along with cheese and crackers while watching Andrei Rieu on the big screen.
It was a full house in the cinema with a lot of suggestions to do it more often 😁

What a wonderful visit from Easton Way Farm on Monday. Nick and Dani brought along Malibu, Anaire and Coco to visit our residents who stroked them, fed them and even received kisses!
Malibu was able to greet some residents nursed in bed on Althorp but unfortunately was unable to use the lift to see others. The alpacas were very cute and well behaved. Most importantly, they created lots of smiles. 🦙♥️

Residents chose to go for a walk through the town this week to visit the market and the Grosvenor Centre to see how much it had changed. One lady was very surprised that all the main stores had gone like M&S, BHS and Debenhans. Infact, she stated that she didn't want to visit again as it just wasn't the same!
We stopped off for a well deserved coffee and cake before heading back.
