International Lego Day

We had a fun morning on Boughton using our cognitive skills, building a variety of structures with lego, stickle bricks, wooden blocks and magnetic blocks. This continued on a one to one basis with residents creating flowers from bricks. One set had 130 pieces!!

Greg performed songs for our residents on his ukulele visiting those who are nursed in bed with his vast library of songs. Residents were able to request a song of their choice or were assisted by Activity Coordinator Andreea, who knew what genre of music they like thanks to the residents life history information.
One to one moments are so precious with Greg creating lots of smiles and fun along the way.

On Saturday we had the lovely Abby and Femi deliver an art session to our residents. They are part of Art Expressions UK CIC who deliver engaging, therapeutic art sessions in care settings, supported by the National Lottery Community Fund.

We have been celebrating 2 special Wedding Anniversaries here at The Angela Grace.
One amazing couple celebrated 60 years, receiving a lovely card from King Charles.
Our other fabulous couple celebrated an amazing 73 years. When we asked them what is the secret of a long marriage?, the answer was love and sharing everything ❤️

❤️Stay safe everyone ❤️

The Met Office has issued an Amber weather warning for snow and strong winds across the Northamptonshire tonight and tomorrow morning (Thursday 8th/Friday 9th January) and we’re urging people to be prepared for driving in wintry conditions to help keep everybody safe.
If your journey is not essential, consider postponing it until this weather system has moved through. If you do need to travel, please take sensible precautions and heed the advice below and that being shared by other emergency services and motoring organisations.

What an amazing December we have had so far at The Angela Grace Care Centre!
🎵Staff carol concert on each floor and 3 church choirs all singing beautifully.
🐾Therapy animals, Bear, Frank and CocoBelle the dogs, guinea pigs, rabbits, a chicken, tortoise, bearded dragon and not forgetting Lollipop and Moomin, the miniature ponies.
🎭Staff pantomime production of Cinderella performed twice for residents.
🎨Christmas crafts making lots of decorations.
🎉An enjoyable Christmas party with such amazing food created by Head Chef Lukasz and his brilliant team.
🎄Christmas Market with funds raised for our residents activity fund.
🧁Baking mince pies, cookies and coconut truffles which all tasted delicious!
🎤Entertainment from Hannah, Greg, Dave and Khali.
❤️We would like to thank all the staff for helping with these events/activities, our amazing activity team who organised the events and to all the relatives for supporting us along the way❤️
