Fundays is situated in the lovely village of Brixworth, next to the library and opposite the local shops which means that we are an active part of the community and all our staff members are professional and highly qualified.
The small cliental numbers means that we deliver a more personalised approach and can adapt the environment to meet individual client needs, offering a home from home experience. Fundays specialises in multi-sensory impairment and enhancing mobility skills within a sensory environment. We cater for adults with a learning disability, complex needs from aged 18 years on wards.
We offer spaces from Monday to Friday 09:30 am - 15:30 pm. Optional days are available, please contact us to discuss this more.
Our focus is to provide and enhance communication by providing Speech and Language sessions using British Sign Language, MOON (Easier form of Braille) Objects of Reference, Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), True Object Based Icons Symbols (TOBI’S) and Daily Schedules.
Our clients are encouraged to build upon their independent, self- help and investigation skills by making their own choices of activities, drinks, snacks, shopping and home economics supported by symbols and guidance from staff. We believe that by focusing on vocational skills helps to build independent skills for life.

A Bit about us
We are two highly professional, experienced women who have had an ambition for many years to provide day supervision for adults with additional needs.
Between us we have over 50 years’ experience, working with a wide range of special needs which include autistic spectrum disorders and multi-sensory impairments. We both know the importance of building communication and self-help skills that help to raise self-esteem and confidence.
We have both previously managed Summer Play Schemes that have given us the opportunity to give young people a Fun Packed Day Out in the community.
Our focus is to provide the key skills needed to enhance independence for life.
