First marathon in the bag. New Forest, a mix of trail and road, with wild horses and donkeys running alongside.

The last 12km were a pure mental battle. Pain crept in hard, but as my sister said: “the race doesn’t really start until 30km.” She wasn’t wrong.

Still can’t wrap my head around how my mum ran a 3hr marathon… absolutely wild.

On to the next challenge (spoiler: it won’t be another marathon anytime soon).

Big thank you to for running it with me, the tun club for always having my back, Lauren for being head cheerleader, and my family for the endless running wisdom. 💕

Here’s what a week of training currently looks like, 7 weeks out from my Marathon in the New Forest.

Not every week goes to plan, but the goal is always to keep ticking the boxes.

For me, strength training and recovery are almost as important as the running itself. They’re key to feeling strong and showing up well on race day.

I’ll start sharing more about the purpose behind each session, and the nutrition that fuels this training too.

To find all the girls who want to run just for fun and meet some likeminded women along the way.

We’re a social run club for girls in Northampton.
We meet every Sunday morning at different spots around Northampton

Completely free.
All abilities welcome.
No pressure, just good vibes.
And yes… there’s usually coffee after.

Just turn up and run.

Did I back off? Absolutely not - competitive nature 1, pacing strategy 0.

MSc Physiotherapy Complete 🎓

Going back to university was definitely not an easy thing to do. It challenged me both mentally and physically at times, which those closest to me had to endure!

But we can all do hard things. I have some friends for life, a new career that I love and a new found resilience I wasn’t aware I was capable of.

Let this be a reminder to continue to push yourself out of your comfort zone, continue to grow and continue to learn 🤍

We did a very tough Barre Class followed by contrast therapy in the sauna and ice baths and finished with a glass of bubbles and relaxed in the Himalayan salt room 🤍
