✨️Refitting Hair Extensions✨️

When to have a refit?
This will depend on which method of Hair Extensions you have, generally a refit is around 10 - 12 weeks.

As your natural hair grows, the bonds grow down and away from the scalp, which can cause them to twist, mat, or become visible.

The refitting process involves removing all extensions and moving them up, this ensures the health of your natural hair and the longevity of the extensions.

The removal method depends on the specific type of extensions, my client here has individual bonds, with this method a solution is applied to the bonds, then using a specialist hair tool to break the seal, allowing the bond to crumble and slide off without damaging the hair cuticle.

We naturally lose about 50–100 hairs a day. These hairs become trapped in the bonds, when the bonds are removed the natural shedding will be combed out out during the removal process.

Before the bonds are refitted, the old bonds are trimmed off, new bonding freshed applied and fitted to a new section of hair.

Last of all trim and blend the extensions, so they are seamless.
