♻️🚨 FINAL TUB CALL! 🚨♻️

You’ve smashed it - we’ve officially passed last year’s total 🙌👏

Huge thank you to everyone who’s donated so far… but if you’ve got a last-minute clean chocolate, biscuit or cracker tub hanging around, there’s still time to sneak it in.

Let’s see how many more we can add before the finish line 🏁

🕔 Last day for donations: Thursday 13th February
📍 Drop-off point: The foyer near the sample bottles

Every tub helps support Macmillan Cancer Support 💚
Go on… one last cupboard check 😉♻️

♻️ Quick reminder & thank you! ♻️

Thank you to everyone who’s donated tubs so far - it’s really appreciated 🙌
We’re currently sitting at 262 tubs, which isn’t far off last year’s total - amazing effort already 👏

Just a small reminder that any samples should be deposited in the grey box under the table in the foyer, rather than being left in a donated sweet tub.

This helps us keep everything tidy and make sure nothing goes astray - thank you for your help 💚

And a final reminder that we’re still accepting clean tubs until Thursday 13th February ♻️

The foyer near the sample bottles.

Thanks again for supporting the cause!

A little behind-the-scenes update 👀

If you’ve visited the surgery this week, you may have noticed our first-floor reception desk has been removed. As it wasn’t being used, we’ve turned the space into much-needed storage, helping us make better use of our space.

We’re excited to launch our new online listings of stoma-friendly toilet venues.

Finding a suitable toilet when you’re out and about can be a real concern for anyone living with a stoma. That’s why we’ve created an easy-to-use resource highlighting venues with thoughtful facilities including hooks, shelves, bins, and full-length mirrors – small changes that make a big difference.

This is another important step in our campaign to improve public toilet provision and break down stigma around stomas. With more venues joining all the time, we’re helping people feel confident to get out, explore and live life fully.

Explore the listings, share your feedback, and help us grow this vital resource: https://www.colostomyuk.org/colostomy-uk-launches-new-online-listings-of-stoma-friendly-toilet-venues/

♻️ Not too late! ♻️

If you’ve just uncovered a forgotten clean chocolate, biscuit or cracker tub in the cupboard - good news 👀
We’re still accepting clean tubs, but the last day for drop-off is Thursday 13th February, so don’t leave it too late.

All tubs are recycled as part of the Greene King Brewery campaign, with money raised going to Macmillan Cancer Support 💚

📍 Drop-off point:
The foyer near the sample bottles.

Final call for clean tubs to do some good ♻️

✅ Quiz Time – Final Answer (Question 4)

The correct answer is… B️ 307

We received 307 online requests for children under the age of 5.

Viruses in young children are particularly common at this time of year, and we know how worrying it can be for parents when little ones are unwell 💙

To help support families, we’ve been sharing trusted resources with parents that offer guidance on managing minor illnesses at home, including:

• Superbodies 👉https://www.icnorthamptonshire.org.uk/super-bodies/

• When Should I Worry 👇 https://www.stlukesprimarycarecentre.co.uk/auth/c68431af-7c5f-411e-a28b-3f7bad52367b/mediafile/5e730047-5b5a-43f1-9f76-ee7c8b44b102

These provide clear, reliable advice on what to expect, how to help your child recover, and when medical help is needed.

Thank you for taking part in our quiz and for helping us raise awareness of the work happening behind the scenes to support patient care 👏

✅ Quiz Time – Answer to Question 3

The correct answer is… B️ 15 requests

Over a 3-month period, the highest number of online requests from a single patient or household was 15.

While we know that some patients have complex or ongoing medical needs that require regular contact with us, it’s also important to remember that your GP is not the only source of support when you’re unwell.

💡 Other help is available, including:
• NHS 111
www.nhs.uk

• Your local pharmacy, who can help with many common conditions

Using the right service helps ensure GP appointments are available for those who need them most 💙

Now for our final question 👇

🧠 Question 4

❓ How many online requests were submitted for children under the age of 5 across a 3 month period.?

👉 A️ 108
👉 B️ 307
👉 C️ 604
