The end of the line is nigh
wanted to let you know about a ton of developments happening here which I think you’ll find very interesting and some of you will most definitely want to get involved
first up and it’s a biggie.
This is my official retirement from direct access mentoring and coaching in the property space.
I’ve met amazing people over the years, made new friends and gained valuable experience - as well as helping numerous people achieve life changing results when they followed my step-by-step plans.
For those that know, they know. I salute you.
If you’ve been following me for a time (I still have a few brilliant and splendid people in our community who were with me from the very first days of Your HMO Expert - thank you!), you’ll have noticed the changes we’ve been through together.
For me, I was blessed with taking a month out in 2019 to be still, learn new skills and relax, and this brought a lot of new insights and revelations to bear that I’m still processing to this day (including getting over a serious ankle injury I did to myself on the mountains but that story is for another day) but one thing it did bring to the forefront of my mind was the type of business I want to run and the type of people I want to associate with.
Trouble is, you don’t need to go far nowadays to hear some sorry tale or attack online about yet another property “guru” taking hundreds of thousands and delivering nothing of value back. Or pitching the ultimate dream of working in your underpants whilst sipping a margarita and the money comes rolling in!
[as an aside this IS possible but it generally takes a 5-10 year period to achieve]
And having thought long, hard and deeply about this, I have decided that this is not the type of industry I want to be “associated” with.
Alas, whether we like it or not, our very being property investors or landlords tars us with the brush of being wealthy, arrogant, insensitive, rogue, cruel, uncaring, money-grubbing folks.
We aren’t, of course but as with everything it’s the few idiots that spoil it for everybody else.
I’ve seen various rumours over the years of “industry-bodies” or firmer “regulation” or “accreditation” but seriously, when all is said and done it is my firm belief that none of these will combat the problem.
And several of them have very dubious members, backgrounds or remits that do not tally with me sense of morals nor ethics.
And the problem isn’t even solely on the “gurus”.
Nope.
It’s on you.
And me.
And everybody that ever bought a course or program or mentoring or whatever the hell it is because we thought it was a shortcut to success.

HARD FRICKING WORK
RELENTLESS ACTION
EMPATHY
Nothing.
And for me that’s the other big reason why I feel strongly that for me to work 1-2-1 with folks anymore is not the answer.
You see most mentors or coaches do have the answers (the good ones anyway and I classify myself amongst the best which is why the gurus come to me...) but the problem is - coaching is a two-way street.
It’s not enough to get on a call, have a nice little chat, agree to do certain action steps and then do absolutely bloody nothing in between.
It helps no one.
The mentee thinks “this ain’t working”.
The mentor thinks “this ain’t working”.
And they are both right.
And they are both wrong.
With the responsibility of choosing a mentor-mentee relationship comes the sacred vows that we commit to working together and it’s why I always started my coaching relationships with the end goal in mind.
Sadly responsibility is something that very few humans are destined to be able to handle with the recent man-made scamdemic proving a wry case in point.
The human that passes on responsibility to another human to tell him or her where they can go, who they can see, who they can “touch”, how they can work (or not work) and why they need to be good little robots is no longer a human; they are in fact a lab rat (which again the current worldwide medical trials going on adroitly illustrate).
So for me, a creative spark of energetic power who can see instantly the scale and nature of a problem to be dragged down into same-day different-shyster mentality brings a set of problems that I’m no longer willing to deal with.
So that’s why I’m closing down with immediate effect all of my 1-2-1 mentoring and coaching programmes.
But wait, here’s the second biggie.
The League is also changing.
As some of my members will know, the impetus and drive to constantly add new content and run weekly live coaching calls is both an amazing feat (for less than a hundred quid a month) but also challenging in delivery, scope and accountability.
I’m therefore introducing a new option which will be the only way of accessing League content; the League Vault.
This comprises all of the training programmes, tools and processes Ive delivered to clients over the last 15 years together with additional highly valuable content I’ll be adding in over the next 2 years.
It’s available for a low one-off fee that guarantees life-time access.
In addition to this, I’ve introduced a brand-new feature; the League community forum which is a non-social media platform.
I don’t know about you but when Facebook first came out in 2007, I thought ‘finally this is a website that is useful’ and it has been for many years.
But now it seems that censorship, algorithm changes, lack of privacy and data exposure mean that in reality - its actually not the best place to host anything that you value or want to keep ‘off-social’.
In fact, it’s become so much a pay-to-play system that its lost the very nature of what I believe it was intended to be when it was set up - a way of keeping in touch with friend, family and like-minded people.
So I’ve set up my own discussion forum for which everybody that joins the League Vault also gets access to.
And one final thing.
I’ve always believed that wealth can be built slowly and quickly - and both have it’s place.
In the turbulent years to come, I urge you to align with partners, suppliers and mentors to help you protect and grow your wealth.
