Qualifications

When it comes to canine rehabilitation, the qualifications of the therapist are very important. A trained and qualified professional ensures that your dog receives safe and effective treatment tailored to their specific needs.

Why do qualifications matter?

Qualified therapists have undergone extensive training in modules such as: canine anatomy, Physiotherapy and Hydrotherapy techniques and safe handling practices. This ensures that rehabilitation is carried out safely, reducing the risk of injury and promoting the best possible outcomes.

All reputable therapists should be registered with a recognised professional association. For example:
• Flora – IRVAP, AHPR, NAVP
• Jess – IRVAP (ICH)
• May – RAMP

Registration ensures that therapists adhere to professional standards, follow safe practices, and are committed to ongoing education. Registered therapists are required to complete mandatory Continuing Professional Development (CPD), ensuring they stay up to date with current research and best practices in canine rehabilitation.

⛔️Road closure alert ⛔️

Anglian water are closing a part of the A413 from 5th January until the end of February. This means if you’re coming from Buckingham please leave more time and go another way. They are closing the road just after the Lillingstone Lovell turn up until the Whittlebury Hall turn.

Best route around is most likely via Silverstone or the A5 but please check this before coming to your appointment in the new year.

Happy new year, look forward to seeing you all soon. 🎉

We have once again decided to donate to a charity instead of gifts this year. We have donated £200 to

This charity does incredible work helping to pay for vet bills of ex service horses and dogs. These dogs work so hard to protect us whether it be in the police, fire & rescue, prison, national crime agency, NHS, MOD Police, and border force services. We wanted to give back to help these dogs get the care they need.

Why do we use a harness or life jacket during hydrotherapy?

We get asked this question a lot, so here is an overview of the importance of harnesses and life jackets during Hydrotherapy.

Harnesses and life jackets help keep your dog safe in the water by giving us secure control and preventing slips or sudden movements, without putting any pressure on the neck.

In hydrotherapy, a harness and a life jacket serve different purposes and it is important we select the correct one for your dog. A harness is used as a handling and support tool, it allows us to guide the dog’s movement, assist with balance, and provide targeted support.

A life jacket, is used as a buoyancy and safety device. It provides support to help the dog, making it especially useful for weak swimmers, anxious dogs, puppies, or those with low endurance. Life jackets are often chosen in early sessions to build confidence or in dogs who require extra support.
