Volunteering opportunities towards Duke of Edinburgh Awards πŸ₯‡ and Youth Volunteering AwardsπŸ† at SCCYC.

We love seeing young people grow in confidence through volunteering 🌟

We are delighted to welcome Uma, who recently joined SCCYC as part of her Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award.

It has been wonderful to see her make such a positive start already.

At SCCYC, we are always proud to support young people as they build confidence, develop new skills, and give back through volunteering.

Programmes like the Duke of Edinburgh Award are not only about completing hours, they are about growth, responsibility, and creating positive experiences that stay with young people for years to come.

We are so pleased to have Uma with us and look forward to being part of her journey.

A heartfelt thank you to Jatinder and Dibbly Shoker πŸ’›

While doing their weekly shop, they kindly picked up extra supplies for SCCYC’s food aid service.

They recognised quieter times for donations, and their thoughtful support helped us continue providing essential items for local individuals and families in our community.

We may be sharing this a little later than planned, but the kindness behind it is no less meaningful.

Thank you both for your generosity and continued support.

πŸ’› A Family's Generous Gift to Our Community

We're so pleased to share that Laveen's parents have once again shown incredible generosity in their support of SCCYC.

Laveen volunteered with us and completed her Duke of Edinburgh Award here, and it is truly heartwarming to see her family continue to support our work long after her volunteering journey with us.

Their kind donation will make a real difference to the families and young people we support, and we are truly grateful for every contribution.

It is always inspiring to see the bonds formed through volunteering extend beyond the individual, and become a lasting connection to our community.

Thank you for helping us make a difference.

πŸ’› Most of Us Don't Think Twice About Fresh Food

We pick up fruit and vegetables without a second thought.

A bunch of bananas.
A bag of potatoes.
Oranges for the week.

For many families in Northampton, it's not that simple.

Fresh produce feels like a luxury when you're managing debt, navigating a crisis, or simply trying to keep the lights on.

The basics become out of reach fast.

At SCCYC, our Food Aid service exists for exactly these moments β€” providing food parcels, fresh produce, and emergency support to people who need it most.

Today, we're asking for your help.

Fresh donations of fruit and vegetables; bananas, oranges, potatoes, onions can be dropped directly to us at: 35-37 St James Mill Road, NN5 5JW. We'd love to hear from you, just DM us first and we'll arrange a convenient time for you to drop them to us at 35-37 St James Mill Road, NN5 5JW.

Β£ donations can be made here: https://lnkd.in/eeTxn5r

If you're lucky enough not to think about where your next meal comes from, this is a small way to extend that security to someone who isn't.

If you can't donate, a share, like, of this post goes a long way - thank you.
