The PREG-HEART (PREGnancy, HEART Health and Cardiovascular Disease) study will create the first UK-wide, direct-to-patient research platform dedicated to heart health in pregnancy.

The PREG-HEART study will create the first UK-wide, direct-to-patient research platform to transform understanding of heart disease in pregnancy, the leading cause of maternal mortality in the UK.

🌟HAVE YOU ACCESSED IT?! We are delighted to be able to offer our patients access to The Real Birth company birth preparation, online programme.

The Real Birth Company are dedicated to empowering pregnant women and people by providing comprehensive education on labour, birth options, rights, and choices. Their mission is to alleviate fear and anxiety surrounding childbirth by offering in-depth understanding and support, focusing on emotional and physical wellbeing for families. It covers topics such as home birth, induction of labour, Caesarean section and pre-term birth.

- This Course is FREE for you to access.
- It is available in Arabic, English, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Sorani Kurdish, Tamil, Urdu, Welsh and British Sign Language.
- The course includes breathing and massage techniques.

🦠 Flu vaccination 🤒
We will continue to offer the flu vaccine until 31st March 2026.
You can have the flu vaccine as soon as you find out that you are pregnant, you do not need to have had a scan yet.

The flu vaccine will protect both mother and baby and although we are past the peak of flu season, the flu continues to circulate beyond the end of March.

Drop-in: Maternity Day unit, Area L, NGH. Mon-Fri (09:00-15:00).
