This week is National Storytelling Week, so we decided to use our imaginations and created our own story about Dottie, Apollo & Thor, our pygmy goats who escape and go on an adventure around Brixworth.

Our oldest animal resident at Sunshine Farm is Miss Ellie who is 27 years young. One of our animal husbandry jobs at Sunshine Farm is to give her a weekly beauty treatment, grooming her so she looks and feels nice and clean and pretty. 🐴 ♥️

Come Rain or Shine there’s always lots of outdoor maintenance to do at Sunshine Farm. The outdoor crew have been busy this week cleaning the polytunnels, maintaining the outside of their building, cleaning the animals signs, doing compost runs and much more. Their Hot Chocolate was a treat well deserved ❤️

December has been a month filled with fun and creativity and getting ready for the Christmas break. All of our usual jobs have been carried out, grounds maintenance, caring for the farm animals making sure the animal crew have clean and warm houses, hay and straw bags have been filled, feed bins have been stocked, animal paddocks have been kept on top of…. We have cooked lots of festive treats in our cookery sessions and made some fabulous Christmas crafts. We’ve had a delicious home cooked Christmas dinner together and partied. Lots of Christmas jumper wearing and the occasional Christmas movie treat.
As we wind down and get ready to say Goodbye to a very busy and very happy 2025, we would like to wish all of our wonderful clients, their families, our staff team and friends of Sunshine Farm a very merry Christmas and a happy, healthy and prosperous 2026 ♥️
