Patients have also found osteopathy helpful for conditions such as digestive issues, circulatory problems, neuralgia and problems sleeping and for the symptoms of many others.

The shoulder is an incredible joint because it can move in almost any direction. However, because it's so mobile. it relies heavily on its surrounding muscles for support. When those muscles or "cables" get overworked or hurt, a Sports Therapist helps but things back in balance.

Common problems Jay, our Sports & Rehabilitation Therapist treats are:

🔹Overworked "cables" (Rotator Cuff Strains) is usually a dull ache felt when reaching overhead or behind your back. It happens when the small muscles get tired or slightly frayed.

🔹"Pinching" or catching sensations are felt as a sharp "ping" when you lift your arm, something might be getting squeezed inside the joint space.

🔹Sudden sprains (falls or bumps) are common after a fall and this usually affects the top of the shoulder where the collarbone meets the shoulder blade.

Using REHAB MY PATIENT software, Jay can deliver the best rehabilitation exercise programmes to ensure you get the maximum results - his goal isn't just to stop the pain, but to make sure you feel confident using your shoulder for everything from gardening to competitive sports.

May marks National Walking Month - a perfect opportunity to celebrate one of the simplest, most effective ways to improve your health: walking.

At Brixworth Osteopathy, we often talk to patients about sustainable, low-impact ways to support their bodies. Walking is one of the easiest habits to build into daily life, and its benefits extend far beyond just “getting your steps in.”

Take a read of our latest blog for more information on how you can get the most from this simple, low impact movement and how Osteopathy can help.
