Usui Shiki Ryoho or the Usui system of natural healing otherwise known as Reiki, (a Japanese word meaning universal life energy) is a laying on of hands, energy healing technique. It relaxes your whole being; physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally whilst channeling energy to help your body in its own healing process. The practitioner is a channel through which the energy is drawn through by the recipient. Stress relief and relaxation which can promote healing often follows. I am a second degree reiki practitioner trained by reiki master, Valerie Holt. I have a small room set aside to provide a private area for treatment; the option for me to visit you at a place of your choosing is also available, I have public liability insurance and a member of the Association of Holistic and Complimentary Practitioners. On arrival I will have a brief conversation with you to discuss any concerns or requests and complete or update your client record. It is important you feel comfortable and relaxed during your reiki treatment, so I would advise you to wear loose fitting clothes. I normally play soft relaxing music to assist the relaxation response and burn incense, of course you can request one or neither of these. You can depend on my professionalism and confidentiality to ensure you receive the care and attention you deserve.
