Your fitness journey is YOURS and yours alone. Stop comparing your progress to what you see on social media. Social media is full of trickery and lies.

If you are doing better than you were last week or last month then you are winning. Equally if you are still managing to do SOMETHING despite life dumping truck load of 💩 on you week after week then you are still wining!!!

We are so obsessed with how things look we can sometimes miss the point of what the exercise is trying to achieve. Instead of trying to make things look pretty or lifting as much weight as possible focus on FEELING the target muscle working during the movement. To achieve this you may have to slow the movement down and reduce the load. Once you have made connection this is when you can start increasing the load.

Exercising whilst you're pregnant is a definite YES!!! For sooo many reasons... Which I can dive into on another video.
Generally you're okay carrying on with almost everything (in terms of exercise) but it's important to note they tend to say avoid starting anything new particularly once you've reached the second trimester... But you can generally carry anything on throughout your pregnancy you have always done apart from things noted in this video.

Some to definitely avoid
🥊 Contact sports
🔥Anything that raises the body temp too high (hot yoga, saunas etc💔)
🛌 Lying on your back for too long

Note as your pregnancy progresses make sure you modify or adjust anything as needed and always discuss routines with your midwife or doctor to ensure things are safe for you and the baby.

Who'd have thought that getting hot and sweaty in a little wooden box could be soooo good for your health. In fact studies show it could be one of the best things you could possibly do for your health!!!! 🤯

🫨 Regular sauna use (4–7 times per week) is associated with a 50% lower risk of fatal heart disease.

🫢Frequent sauna users have a 66% lower risk of developing dementia.

😶 Frequent sauna use is linked to a 40% lower all-cause mortality risk.
