Here are some tell tail sings of a dysfunctional nervous system. We’ve all been through them at some point. It’s totally natural in our hectic lives. But these are signs we need to gain control again.

Here are some things to look out for;

✅Irritability
✅Low stress tolerance
✅Racing thoughts
✅Depression
✅Pain in the chest
✅Harsh thoughts
✅Unable to focus
✅Irratic emotions
✅Autoimmune issues
✅Accident prone
✅Digestive issues

These are all signs our nervous system needs some love and care 🌱🌻

Our breathing is intertwined with everything do, and will totally shape our experience of the world we sense and feel.

It can change our perception from one of fear, uncertainty, and panic..

How mouth breathing may be impacting your family:

The impact of mouth breathing on a family unit is so profound. It is very likely going undetected due to the fact that even doctors aren't up to speed with this at present.

Like ripples in a pond, the effects of
mouth breathing and dysfunctional breathing will permeate through a family, leaving its mark in multiple
areas.

We feel the sentence: "Its only breathing." needs to be revaluated.

Breathing is simple, but due to
our modern day lifestyles, we have incurred many errors regarding how we do it.

In the list below, each one can be sourced back to chronic mouth breathing.

Do any of them occur in your
family home?

Asthma
Smaller jaw, smaller airways, crooked teeth
Forward head posture & rounded shoulder posture (FHRSP)
Snoring & sleep apnea
Allergies
Anxiety & mental health issues

Do you have trust in your life? ❤️

I held a breathwork for a lady earlier today, she’s going through some ground breaking changes.

It made me think of a time in my life when I was going through a massive shift. Looking back, there was a deep layer being pulled off which I needed to grow through.

Trusting life is easy when the money is rolling in, your surrounded by love and nurture, and your health is thriving.

But what about when you hit one of your lows? It wasn’t till after the event, about 6 months later I was like. ‘Ah, I see why that happened’

From these moments, my faith in life to have my back has been deepened. Even through the storms!

When we truly listen… narratives stop, and we are immersed in the present moment…

When a storm hits in our lives… we can apply so many narratives, ‘Why me?’ ‘What have I done to deserve this’ ‘When is it going to end’

When we just listen to the storm, it will pass by a lot quicker…

Sounds,

Which brings you to the silence…

Struggling to meditate? It's not easy or glamourous is it?.

So here are some tips to help you ease into some zen and stillness.

There can be other things at play that can negatively affect our experience of meditation - trauma, intrusive thoughts, muscle & joint pain are just a few.. In which case, seeking guidance on how to address these issues can transform your process.

I’m pretty sure the first thing Batman 🦇 did was take a massive breath in through the mouth… trying to capitalise on as much air as possible..

One of the errors with taking a deep breath, is the misunderstanding of the mechanics of breathing…

For gas exchange to happen, and the deepest part of the lungs to be activated. It has to be done through the nose, as this will start to slow the air down…

Once breathing in through the nose, you can count for around 6 counts in and 6 counts out. This gives enough time for there to be sufficient exchange of oxygen and CO2.

Cool little fact… you will find most of the mantras which are used are around this kind of time. Om Namah shivay, bring one of them! Our ancestors new so much!

You want to think of your breath gliding in and out like a wave of silk, hardly noticeable.

I’m some Chinese arts, you will be scored down if you can visually see your opponent breathing.

From evolution it also makes sense, as to be quiet 🤫 around prey, or hunting…

Have you had any of these moments in your life? ❤️

Those times you just have a very brief moment of catching your breath, and observing what’s going on….

I definitely have… some really pivotal moments, where I question everything… my relationships, my energy, my career/purpose…

And from these moments transformation and change occurred… relationships ended, new jobs started, different lifestyle choices…

Hitting bottom is tough… but the journey back upwards is the most rewarding thing ever!

I got this the wrong way around…

I started with my body, then I went to my mind, and ended up with fixing my breath… 🤦‍♂️

But to be fair, lots was learnt along the way!

Always, always, start with your breathing… and work outwards 🙌🏻

Have you ever stopped to check how your child breathes?

How they breathe, whether through the mouth or nose will have a massive determine factor on there energy and quality of life..

Recessive mouth breathing has now been shown in studies to have negative effects on facial cranial development…

Making the airways smaller!

Spend some time observing how your child breathes… Encourage nasal breathing at all times 🙏🏻

Iron out tension, and clear brain fog 😶‍🌫️

When reading this… it just seems too simple right?

And to a certain degree, it is,,, But why are so many of us not doing it right..?

This used to be me…

I remember, way before I new anything about the effects of how we breath effects our health, the symptoms I had were CRAZY,,,

Brain fog, fatigue, lethargic, over stress at the smallest thing, struggle producing work, poor sleep…

When I started to enhance my breath, my life changed… the fog lifted, and was replaced with clear sky’s, and brand new energy…

My life mow is a totally new experience…

With a lot more peace ✌🏻

The good thing about this, it’s for everyone! There are just different factors which can impact our breathing… lifestyle, genetics, but what ever they are…

We can work with it!

🌻Six Tips to a Fitter you🌻

❇️Train when you have the most energy. Everyone’s different, some are morning, other evening. Go when you feel at your best.

❇️Listen to your body. Don’t shy away from doing something lighter. A walk in nature, gentle cycling.

❇️Make sure you rest and get good quality sleep. Nasal breathing through the night helps increase sleep quality dramatically.

❇️Stretch, yoga, foam roll, mobility exercises. Are all key, and something you can do ever day.

❇️Make sure 90% of the time you are nasal breathing. Increasing oxygen in one of MANY benefits. Another post is needed!

❇️With all this activity, your muscles need care. Have protein with every meal to help with recovery.
