Our wonderful gentlemen at Heathfield had a delightful afternoon filled with fellowship. We enjoyed a lovely lunch together, complemented by refreshing drinks. The Gents spent the day engaging in enjoyable conversations, making it a truly memorable experience.🍻😀

We enjoyed a delightful afternoon getting hands-on and engaged! Our creative residents crafted their own bird feeder holders using peanut butter and bird seeds, which were then hung in the garden. Meanwhile, our wonderful Colin was busy planting flowers on the balcony, adding a beautiful touch to the space. 🦆🪴🪻

🌟 Wish Wednesday 🌟

We were more than happy to grant our lovely resident Alan his wish to pick out some lovely flowers for us to pot at home 🪴🌸🌱🪻

He enjoyed looking round the shop and then of course we had to have a cup of tea bit of lunch afterwards 😋🍴 (Scroll to the end to see Alan winning an arm wrestle against our minibus driver Duncan 💪🏼👀)

We enjoyed a delightful afternoon in celebration of National Ukulele Day! A heartfelt thank you to the Orchard Theatre for entertaining us with your ukulele performances. Everyone at Heathfield Court had a truly wonderful time. 🎶

Celebrating National Hedgehog Day at Heathfield

Today at Heathfield, we're embracing the charm of hedgehogs in honor of National Hedgehog Day!

We have a delightful hedgehog house, thanks to Elaine, who has placed it in our garden.

Additionally, we've discovered some fascinating facts about hedgehogs. Did you know that these adorable creatures have been living in Britain for over 15 million years?!

While we have a formal activity schedule during the day... the fun doesnt stop there!

Our wonderful Night Care Team are still bringing our residents lots of laughter, dancing, fun and games right up until they go to bed 💃🏼🎶🎲😃

🌟 This week at Heathfield 🌟

🔹️ Emerald suite enjoyed a song and dance session with musical instruments 🎶🪕💃🏼
🔹️ Yvonne enjoyed a look round the garden all wrapped up warm 🥰
🔹️ We had a target game competition where our winner was Colin with a record 290 points! 🎯🏆
🔹️ Dorothy enjoyed a game of Scrabble 🧠
🔹️Diamond suite spent an afternoon 'puzzling' 🧩
🔹️We are continuing to knit squares for baby blankets for our local hospital 👶🏻🧶
🔹️ Some of our Gents got together to play games at our first Gentlemen's Club 🎩🎲🍻
🔹️ Diamond suite baked chocolate brownies 😋
🔹️ Emerald suite worked hard doing an exercise routine 💪🏼
🔹️ Ann and Sheila made themselves a bracelet 📿
🔹️ Our Little Heaths came to play 👧🏼
🔹️ Doris enjoyed a game of 'Call to Mind' one evening 😃
🔹️ Some residents have enjoyed relaxing Namaste care 🪷
🔹 Ladies enjoyed watching ‘Grease’ in the cinema room 🎥
🔹 Barbara completed a jigsaw puzzle in just half a day 😃

There are so many wonderful meaningful interactions and activities going on each week to ensure our residents have lots of fun 🌟

We enjoyed a delightful day during our outing. We visited B&M to explore the shops and picked up some flowers and herbs to plant on our balconies. To wrap up the day, we savoured a delicious pub lunch that was truly satisfying. 🪴🧄🍽️

This month’s Language Café took us on a delightful journey to Portugal 🇵🇹. We enjoyed a fantastic afternoon immersed in Portuguese culture, savouring their delectable cuisine while sampling a variety of wine and port. 🥟🍷

🌟 Wish Wednesday 🌟

This was a first for us! Our dear Rosina told us she's always wanted to have a go on a digger, and so we made her wish come true!

A huge thank you to TW Contractors who very kindly helped Rosina (aged 97!!) to drive and operate the digger - as you can see, she absolutely loved it 🤩

🕺💃🏼 Today we have been dancing 💃🏼🕺

Our residents always enjoy our regular 'Dancing with Dee' sessions, she brings so much energy and fun you can't help but sing and dance along! 😃

Today our residents have enjoyed playing table pong to try and win some chocolate treats! 🍫

They all got into the competitive spirit and had fun cheering each other on - and of course they enjoyed eating their prizes too! 😋
