🍦Staying Hydrated at Heathfield Court🍦
Today, our residents and staff were thrilled with the hydration trolley. They delighted in cooling off with a tasty ice lolly, followed by refreshing fruity drinks to stay hydrated. 🍭🍨🧃

Our Emerald suite residents have been busy making these vegetable pasties! They have been chopping onions 🧅 peeling and chopping potatoes and parsnips 🥔 rolling out pastry and assembling them into these very delicious pasties 😋 who needs Greggs when you have our Heathfield chefs 👨‍🍳 👩‍🍳 😃

✨Wish Wednesday✨
Olive's dream was to visit a garden centre with her sister Lesley, and we made that dream a reality. She spent a lovely day exploring the stunning flowers and plants, followed by a delightful lunch. At the end of her visit, she chose a souvenir—a Yorkie ornament—that brought back fond memories of a dog she once had. 🐾🪻🌹

Today we wish our dear Michael a very Happy Birthday 🎉🎁🥂 He has enjoyed a lovely day out with his family, followed by a delicious home-made cake here at Heathfield 🎂

🌟 This Week at Heathfield 🌟

🔹 Many residents have enjoyed time in the sun with an ice lolly in our beautiful garden when we have had sunny weather this week ☀️🍦
🔹 Richard has been reminiscing about life in the 1940s, recognising some famous faces of that era 💭
🔹 Pam enjoyed browsing a 'Hello' magazine 📖
🔹 Emerald suite have played a categories game trying to find answers that fit in different categories beginning with particular letters of the alphabet, decided by a spinning wheel - some where very difficult as you can see from Eileen's face! 🤔🧠
🔹 Rosina had a go at our puzzle table and Diamond suite had a go at some of our homemade puzzles 🧩
🔹 Diamond Suite played some animal matching card games 🦊🦓🐍
🔹 Several residents were amazed by doing a little science experiment mixing vinegar with bicarbonate of soda to give a very fizzy result! 🧪🥼
🔹 Emerald suite have been looking at insect playing cards seeing interesting facts about different insects 🐜🪲🦗
🔹 Ann has been helping out in the kitchen on Emerald suite giving out drinks and doing the washing up 🍶🧼
🔹 Mary had her hair done in our salon 💇🏻‍♀️
🔹 Emerald Suite played some balloon games 🎈
🔹 Joyce has been reading about the Queen Mother 👑
🔹 Diamond Suite enjoyed a game of table pong to win some nice toiletries 🏆🧴
🔹 Dorothy and her friends played a game of Scrabble 🔠🧠

🧠⁉️ What's in the box? ⁉️🧠

Today we have had a sensory morning playing 'what's in the box?'

We all took it in turns to put our hands in the mystery box and try and work out what was inside. Some things were easier to guess than others 👀🥕🎈🥦🧶🧅🪶🍇

Today, we had a delightful day on our excursion to Ruxley Garden Centre. We explored the beautiful flowers and plants, and savored some delicious treats along with a refreshing drink. 🪴🌸🍦🍰🫖

Today at Heathfield, we had a delightful array of activities to keep us engaged. We kicked off the day by baking a Victoria Sponge Cake, explored interesting facts about St. George’s Day, and wrapped up with a fun Cockney Quiz. 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿.

🌏🌱 Earth Day 🌱🌏
On Earth Day today at Heathfield, our wonderful residents eagerly assisted in sprucing up our flower and plant pots in preparation for the new blooms. They embraced the opportunity to get their hands dirty and fully engage in the gardening activities. 🪴🪻🌺🌼

🌟 Wish Wednesday 🌟

Our dear Michael wished to go and watch a cricket match as he has always loved the cricket 🏏 we were only too happy to take him along to our local Bexley Cricket Club to watch them play their first match of the season 😃

Michael really enjoyed his day and of course we had to kit him out with a Bexley Cricket Club hat he can keep as a souvenir from this lovely day out 🌟

🍩 Team Treats 🍩

We are so grateful to home manager Nikki for getting treats in for the whole team to enjoy! 😋 our fabulous team work so hard to keep our home running and our residents safe and happy, so a kind gesture of thanks like this goes a long way 🥰

🦉A trip to see the owls 🦉

Several residents have enjoyed a delightful trip to Jambs Owls at Hall Place, where we were treated to some interesting facts about owls plus the chance to hold a couple of these beautiful birds 🤩🦉
