Want to mix up healthy & delicious? 🥰

These are simple to make and perfect to entertain the children over the Easter holidays.

All you need is sliced kiwi (skin on is fine) & cut them in half for the wings.

Then melt and leave chocolate to cool before using a spoon or piping bag to make the little shapes…then add the wings & eyes!

You can also use other fruits such as strawberries, apples, oranges for more colourful butterflies 🦋

Eating less but gaining weight in midlife? This is why👇

If fat loss feels harder than it used to, you’re not imagining it.

In midlife, your body becomes more sensitive to stress and calorie restriction is a BIG stress on the body!

When you constantly cut calories, your body doesn’t see that as ‘being healthy’…
it sees it as a threat. 😳

So instead of letting go of fat, it adapts by slowing your metabolism, increasing hunger, and holding onto energy (fat) more tightly.

Add in hormonal changes, increased insulin resistance, and shifts in muscle mass…
and suddenly the old ‘eat less, move more’ advice just doesn’t work anymore.

This is why the focus needs to shift.

Not more restriction.
But more support. 🌿

Balancing blood sugar, prioritising protein, adding healthy fats, and eating in a way that makes your body feel safe.🦋

Because when your body feels safe, it becomes much more willing to let go of stored fat 💚

For a long time, my body was stuck in ‘fight or flight’‼️

I looked like I was doing all the right things on the outside - eating well, trying to manage stress, staying on top of my health - but underneath, my body was overwhelmed.

And no one really explains this part…👇

When your body is constantly in a stress response, everything is affected - your energy, your hormones, your immune system.

So those flare-ups? They’re not random. They’re not your body failing you.

They’re signals.

Learning this changed everything for me 🌿

Once I started understanding what my body actually needed - instead of fighting against it - things began to shift. My energy improved. My symptoms calmed. And for the first time, I felt like I was back in control.

That’s why I do what I do now.

After training in nutrition and understanding how to work with the body, I now help women with autoimmune conditions bring their bodies back into balance - so they’re no longer stuck in survival mode🦋
