It's always great to have Lucy and Edward play music for us, but today was extra special with our resident music specialist knowing all the songs and everyone singing along. What a fun day!

Today we played some indoor games to exercise our hand- eye coordination and strength. Passing the balloon is always popular, so much so that we didn't even take pictures during the game this time.

This month's trip was to Lion Salt Works museum where we we learned about how salt was processed. As some of our residents used to work at the local salt factories, it was great to hear their stories.

We had a lovely 1950s American Diner experience with burgers, hotdogs and pancakes for lunch and a quiz on American history afterwards. All on groovy jukebox music 🤩

We had our Summer Fayre here at Sandiway Lodge yesterday. Unfortunately the weather was not kind to us but everyone still had a lovely day despite being indoors.
All enjoyed the wild west theme and the country and western singer was amazing.
Thank you to all relatives and family for attending and spending money on the BBQ, raffle and various stalls.
Thank you to Horse, Hound and Hunter in Winsford for donating the hay bales for us.

Our lovely Doreen was 105 years old on 25th July. We had a lovely party for her and a big thanks to all the local schools for making her lots of birthday cards, the public who sent birthday cards in for her and also local businesses who donated cupcakes and balloons.
She had a lovely day and even got a message from the King and Queen

We had various activities here at Sandiway Lodge last week.

We were joined by Rise who did some great games and chair exercises for residents.

It was International Tea Day so residents enjoyed

different teas in our china cups.

We also had a singer and residents loved singing along

Mothers Day Weekend was enjoyed by all including indoor games. Thanks to Weaverham Gospel Church for the donation of the small bouquet of flowers each for residents and staff
