âI wouldnât even know what to say in therapyâŚâ
If youâve ever thought that, youâre not alone.
A lot of people delay counselling because they feel:
Too overwhelmed to put things into words
Unsure whatâs actually âwrongâ
Worried their problems arenât serious enough
Afraid of being judged or misunderstood
But hereâs the thingâŚ
You donât need to have it all figured out before you start.
Therapy isnât about arriving with a clear explanation.
Itâs about figuring things out as you go.
Even saying something as simple as
âIâm not really sure why Iâm hereâ
is more than enough.
And if there are moments of silence?
Thatâs okay too. Theyâre part of the processânot something you need to avoid.
Over time, things usually start to shift:
â Thoughts feel less tangled
â Emotions become easier to understand
â You begin to notice patterns in how you think and feel
It doesnât happen all at once.
It starts smallâwith just showing up.
